Sorry they are useless stats which anybody could do if they are allowed to run free for two hours. He was often leading wide or deep into pockets looking for easy touches. His 19 touches suggest he wasn't working hard enough where it counted bc if he got into so much space for a gun he would of got double the touches and impacted more score involvements rather than the paltry one.
If this is the new stat in mode to hide a players inadequacy then maybe Kenyan marathon runners will be in vogue.
He also had 19 pressure acts and 20 the week before.

I can understand the disappointment with his output so far, he is not getting enough of the ball, clearances or using it as well as he did at GC. Which was always mine (and a lot of fans) issue especially on the back of injury problems but I can't understand the attack on his workrate, it is top notch.

The problem is always what we paid, if we traded down with the swans and paid pick 14, kept 17 and got SPP it would have been perfect.

I agree with all of that except for his work rate as to me he's not actually being effective and not working in contested work and really just likes to be more solo. Im actually disappointed more with his speed and how he's easily been pushed out of and beaten in contests. His centre work is terrible and he is marginally better at stoppages. Pressure acts are basic things which every football should have as their starting point. They're non negotiables.

Todays stats. More reliable than random innerwebz opinions.

Prestia starting to get his motor going. 16km today follows15.5km last week. Fastest average speed in defence and second quickest in attack

Very good player. Not at his best but given time to get used to his team mates and a new system he is putting in big shifts to offer something to the side

Could clean up his disposal but hopefully that comes with more training continuity and a good preseason for next year.
His kicking i shiver every time its in his hands and is about to kick.

I reckon that word is a bit overused kiwi old chum.

I recall that you were in a spa with said girlfriend in East St Kilda a few years back, and she was heard to say after the session that your work that night was "elite"

or was that "Shiite"

anyway, my hearing has never been good.

Elite or shite is irrelevant as long as his work rate was there.

lol sorry capt because I find you a good person, however collectively they are the most insignificant stats I have ever seen..
Most insignificant stats ever were the numbers of women tigs2010 has picked up, because 90% were from over 45 nights when he was in his 20's

Haha. Morning Noel.

Just passing on the exact words of the coach.

I believe the word was "fright", especially when the water tumbled over the spa wall and started flooding the place.

Amazing how eyes and ears can filter.

I would describe dion as a quality player that is underdone. Plain and simple. We all saw what he done at the goldcloast and how damaging he was. His body is what is holding him back. You can tell with his lack of penetration in his kicking. To call him a kick chaser is laughable. More like doing what he can to help the team whilst trying to get his body back on track.

so drop him and play a guy whos not underdone and who can hit a target.
dions disposal is garbage and he should be made to earn a spot. you cant be gifted a game because you are high profile. he dishes that shit up in the finals and see how we go, a few of you will start crying then when the milk is already spilt

I agree, and it's mainly supporters who only watch on the telly that don't appreciate his massive workrate. He reminds me of BEllis last year, just keeps going and going and...
I love fill in the blanks! let me guess!!!

kicking to the opposition when we are on a break away?
kicking to the opposition more often than putting a teammate to advantage?

am I close?

5 rounds to go, he had better hurry up. its not like its a foreign sport to him. the excuses for this guy are mindboggling.

ive seen under 9s who haven't played a game of footy in their life adapt faster than Dion.
we have be stooged and basically have another small jockey who runs around like a headless chook, which we have managed to find by ourselves in previous drafts, let alone sell the farm for...

He compared him to Brandon Ellis 2016. lol. Shows how much he sees of the footy live as people wanted Bellis traded bc he was that shocking. It doesn't matter how much gut running you do bc if it's leading to you turning it over or being half arsed at the contest then it's useless. I haven't seen Prestia gut run yet and I doubt with his fitness and knees he would be lucky to break out of a jog.
It's amazing what trolls will say to cover incompetence and under performers.

imposter is spot on. I watche him closely today, 3rd qtr not to bad but he jokes around the contest. Does not force an issue. Fails to man up and he only runs one way. Turnover merchant in first qtr. 2nd no good. I dont know what the hype is with this bloke and if someone again says give him a pre season I will streak at punt rd. The bloke was taken at 6 to be a ready made player with class, guts and nous. Not there yet.

His work rate is non existent. A brisk walk can cover 8km/h , so in two hours most players will be around 15-16km especially mids.
He's often jogging by himself and waiting for a turnover so he can get a cheapie. His work rate at the stoppages and contest is what is important and it's substandard. If that km stat is what you're preaching to pump him up above ball winning and disposal then youre barking up the wrong tree. He hasn't even got a sprint on him and is a witches hat waiting to be spotted. He needs to lift as he's a joke for what the reviews on him were.
But are they good jokes? That would make the difference for me.

I was a little taken aback yesterday as I don't think I've heard a tigers player cop more abuse at a game from tiger fans.
Admittedly it's close your eyes and hold your breath when he gets the ball but I can appreciate his unrewarded running and ability to link up.

Maybe I was just among a group that really dislike him but it was pretty full on all day.

The problem is he's copping it because of what the club paid for him and what he's allegedly being paid. That's not his fault. I'm not happy with what he's cost us based on his output this year but for him to be copping abuse by our own supporters is shit.
