Easy for a bloke to run around in circles. Distance is meaningless we could get s marathon runner to do that. Is he tackling is he chasing is he contesting is he kicking and hanpsssing to effect. Dion is the biggest con we have had in 8 years
The biggest con in 8 years? Nah. I'd say he is already one of our better acquisitions in that time if you compare his output to other players that have come to Richmond in the last 8 years whether through draft or recruiting from the opposition. This while he hasn't even been here for a whole season yet.

The bloke covered the most distance, averaged the quickest overall speed, was quickest in defensive running and second quickest in attacking running on average as well. You don't get that by running around in circles.

Just finished re-watching the first half of the game against GWS. It is cringeful to watch Dion exclusively. I know it's not his full body of work, and I dare say not representative of even his whole game that day, but you shake your head all the same. I looked hard for what I simply call 'game acts', which obviously include kicks, handballs, marks, shepherds, blocks, knock ons, anything you can say, "he did that" and it was an influence on some game play.

1st Qtr - Zero, zip nada. Couldn't call it a tag on Shiel - he was too wide most of the time.
He spent about 7-8mins off the ground mid way through the Qtr.
There were three or four times he was near enough to help a team mate but didn't.

2nd Qtr - Appeared to start off the ground for the first 4-5 mins
it took until 6.30mins to go to get a handball.
5.30mins to go he was part of a two man tackle
4.00 mins to go he roved a Vlossy bat/tap on Centre Wing.
Kicks to a leading Jack but Davis ends up being front and marks.
2.30 mins to go Prestia takes the Free Kick intended for CEliis
Kicks it over Butler's head to two GWS players.

If I fell asleep and missed one, please let me know - I did get just the 4 hours sleep last night.

Now he finished with 19 or so disposals for the game, and we know one was meant to be for CEllis, so I look forward to having my work cut out for me when watching that half of football.

I repeat I am in the camp that wanted Prestia (though not for what we gave up), I still believe he will get better if fit enough. I am looking to prove the case for the affirmative.
I will continue to bring this post up until the blind or liars or footy ignorant decide to watch this bloke at work.

Watched him play more than the twice you've admitted to watching him play live. As has been mentioned a few times now he is playing a different role to what he played while at the Suns. It has also been mentioned that him being in the side has aided others getting back to playing their best roles. Cotchin is able to get more outside the contest and hunt the footy like he did in 2012. Grigg is back to playing the type of footy he was playing in 2014. Bellis is back playing a similar role that saw him make the AA squad and finish runner up in the Jack Dyer medal in 2014.

The only reason you claim they are BS stats is because they show your claims to be baseless claims as there are no facts to back them up.
Changed game plan and small defensive forwards rather than statue Vickery , has had the greatest influence

Yeah have certainly stood your ground, but are you saying, the level he is playing at is the same as it was at the GC or did you predict he would go backwards?
I actually don't think he has gone backwards .
I think his stats and perceived form at GC were inflated.
I recently had a chat with a person who has experience within a premiership winning club and more recently spending time within Gold Coast , about the club ,their players stats and perceived ability.
He suggested the form of players within the franchises is unlikely to translate to any other club or win them a premiership.
This is primarily due to the franchise clubs having ridiculous talent and pace, yet terrible accountability.
As a result their game plans , in particular stoppage work was completely different to any other club.
It means injuries , playing varying weather conditions or when playing against opposition who can match their outside pace, expose their skills and ability to win contested footy.

Prestia ranks among our midfielders:
4th in disposals
5th for tackles(4th excluding Nankervis)
5th for I50
6th for goal assists
5th for contested possessions (4th excluding Nankervis)
5th for disposal efficiency (ahead of Cotchin Martin)
3rd for clangers behind Cotchin and Martin
3rd for clearances behind Cotchin and Martin
3rd for R50 behind Cotchin and Grigg

Changed game plan and small defensive forwards rather than statue Vickery , has had the greatest influence
Changed gameplan has helped no doubt, but fail to see how removing Vickery and adding the small forwards has impacted the difference in roles for those I mentioned.

What is defensive running and attacking running if you don't have the ball and when you do you turn it over? Another lot of stupid stats from people who don't understand football
Maybe if you understood football better you'd be able understand what defensive and attacking running meant and how it doesnt always require players to have the ball.
