Only from a volume of noise perspective. When you play, you really don't give the crowd much of a thought in terms of "like or angry". The most notable thing is hearing or not hearing your teammates - anything else is overstated as an effect.
Oh OK. I don't know how it is like playing footy in front of an AFL crowd nor have I spoken to someone who did, so I wouldn't know. I am just guessing from other experiences in life where the difference in amount of people watching can affect a person's performance.

Anyone that says that crowds don't get to the players are b sing or don't know. You thing Watson didn't get effected been called a drug cheat every time he touched the ball or when like us going badly and playing backwards all of a sudden our own supporters start booing doesn't effect them?
I recall playing a pre season game before a South Melb soccer club game and it lifted me to another ten levels just from lisnening to the fans clapping every time i did something good. In the afl from players that i have spoken too they tell me the same thing that they can hardly hear each other on the field cause of the crowd.
So again its total BS that the player's aren't effected.

Haven't said it doesn't have an affect on anyone ever - please read back for clarity. I have just said it is over stated as a reason why Prestia has taken time to find his feet.

Reasonably seasoned players notice crowds the most before or after the game, not during. I have already mentioned the volume of noise is an issue - hearing always is (though the Tiges have been a team of mutes over the years anyway).

Like you I have played on a large venue and of course you and I would notice it, it's new, the whole excitement of being on the G is exhilarating. But I come back to the initial discussion, to a seasoned player, going from the Suns to the Tiges, the crowd size effect is miniscule (I said overstated) as an issue, compared to say. reading your new teammates ques, or rotation patterns, or preferred advantage side, etc......

Your mum likes being called names she once thought I was calling her the 2016 Norf captain.

Prestia needs to improve what he can control, better game far better, but needs to learn to kick on his left foot with confidence to be far more effective. Bit more mongrel in the game v North which was pleasing

I'll also add Yarran and re-confirm I don't think Prestia is a total paid, I just don't think he was worth anything like the club paid and he certainly isn't a polished inside mid.
He is a good player mate and has made us a far better side. There is obviously something more to this.

Signs are good here, started to train during the past few weeks, who would have thought, i was sure he was stuffed and on top of it could never hit the side of barn..

Even though i had watched a lot of Prestia at GC i kept reading how poor he was.

Has a long way to go before being judged good or bad, were at the half way point of season 1 on a 5 year deal.

Agree with others that whilst he hasn't been playing great footy every week he has made us a better team, he has had a couple of good games, the last coinciding with his ability to train, will get better and hopefully be back to his best come later rounds finals. Will be massive for us if he can!

This bloke is a jet when unhindered and for those that haven't seen a lot of him i would recommend looking back, i agree with others if he had a injury that would reduce his output over the 5 year deal then thats poor on our side, however at this point his tracking upwards and putting additional loads on his body when others had said his shot and this will be the norm going forward..

I copped similar criticiscm when I called for McMahon , Nahas and Vickery's heads.
I call it how I see it and ain't afraid to admit when wrong, it just doesn't haappen often .
What about when you said Jurica would be the next 1000 goal kicker?

What about when you said the Geisch was a tactical genius?

What about when you said Freo is coming?

What about when you said just because the girl you picked up had an adams apple it didnt mean she was packing heat?

Ive been really busy with other stuff going on i have not seen this game either. probably wont.

By all reports he had a top game so kudos to him.
He has been very poor this yr but he is or has shown himself in the past to be a good player.
Weather he becomes a consistent good player again is bedides the point for me.
There is very little in fact nothing that can happen that will change my mind on weather we should have targeted Prestia or targeted the draft by trading into it.

How does a limited preseason make your kicking go to shit? There's always some excuse. There was a kick in the second, no pressure and he kicked it like the unco kid at school who gets a game because everyone feels sorry for him. There is something physically wrong with him.
Its a damn sight harder to kick accurately when your puffing and panting, legs get tired etc could be as said early pain killers as well, still doing some good things but lets hope they can get the kicking together for next year.

Not even a premiership?
When ? wont be this yr or the near future.

Geez and there is no intent to be disrespectful but you are delusional if you think this current list can win a flag.

A premiership just papers over the cracks.
Lol if only it was so. but alas all that has happened is a few wins is papering over well not so much cracks but chasms.
