Great win today but I am far from convinced that North can continue playing 3 tall forwards at one time.It seems as though if they do not mark the ball it seems to come back to the centre.LT is the only crumber except for a Boomer special in the last quarter. The three talls are slower than a wet weekend with the turning circle of the Queen Mary.

Currie dropping regulation marks probably doesn't help. Petrie is a worry, but he is continually infringed upon in every contest. Receives no love from the umpires.

Currie might not have marked well today but theres no denying hes getting up fwd and presenting options. Definately should persust with him. Really wish drew can find his mojo again. Some of mark attempts suggest hes not too far off it.

If Daw is fit I'd be playing him ahead of Currie. However, I think we're seeing the benefits of a fresher Goldy as a result, and two weeks in a row we've won last quarters. I think this is the go from now on. The only problem is fitting Robbie back into the side when he returns.

Petrie is a joke ffs, Carey would be better value atm, this guy has had the biggest dream run in the history of the NMFC but still hasn't delivered.

We are missing Tarrant, as much as people mock him for concrete hands, he quite often steps up when Petrie doesn't have much of a contribution and it puts a lesser defender on Black.

Currie will start grabbing them soon. Brad made the right call with Thomas whilst he couldn't hit the side of a barn. You don't give up on blokes that easily. Petrie however just looks slow. He needs to approach this like its his last season.

Currie is terrible at ground level but the thing he does well is if he doesn't mark it (which is often) he always brings it to ground or splits the pack.
However with Petrie in terrible form, we can't afford to have him dropping easy marks. I would bring in Mason Wood as he offers so much more at ground level.
If Petrie continues to play this poorly I would swap him for Tarrant as soon as he's ready.

Don't ya think it'd take Wood a fair few games to start clunking marks, if at all? verypoorboy
Wood ain't gunna be anywhere near as physical as Currie. I think we need to persist.

I don't think Wood is ready, he will be okay out in space but he doesn't have the physique for contested ball. The way we are bombing it forward it wont suit his game.

I'm not sure how anyone can be saying Currie should stay. He dropped everything, I don't care how fit Daw is he has to play at least until Robbie is back.

Actually thought currie's physicality in the centre was what got us going a bit. I like the boy.

Currie was good in the centre and around the ground. He just needs to ditch those concrete gloves that he's wearing.

Let's not paper over the cracks, it was a great win, but........

Currie had an absolute mare, one of the worst games I've seen from a North tall.

If Goldy did that, there'd be a lynch mob around here.....

I think Currie should stay in until Daw is ready. We won't be any better off with Drew in the ruck, Goldstein on the bench and Black or Wood as our tall target.

Petrie wants to pull his ****ing finger out...
