Try and watch the Collingwood vs Hawthorn NAB cup from this year if you can find it, was BOG.
Just checked his stats for that game. He had 26 disposals. 17 Kicks, 9 handballs, 4 marks, 1 goal, 82% TOG

Sam Mitchell was the only one to beat him from both sides with 28 disposals.

Comments from that game in the HS:

JED ANDERSON: Best on for the Hawks bar champion Sam Mitchell. Attacked every contest as if it was his last to finish with 26 for the match. Ticks all the boxes. Speed. Tough and a lethal left boot. At $141,400 looks a SuperCoach midfield steal.

1st play, hawks Sheppard the man on the mark allowing him to play on and kick deep. Question is, can he Excell under north melbourne 'the hard way" conditions? His inside game will be put to full use.

Remember Hale on the differences between wins at the two clubs, something like, 'It was always so much harder at north' .

Regardless, jed looks the goods, and will sell hope over the off season. Wrapped to have him.

And thanks again GR you will be bringing in thousands in marketing value for the club. Much appreciated.

Who would you rather have, Brandon Ellis or Brad McKenzie? That's your 2 spots mate.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Mark Harvey wanted to pass on Nat Fyfe and pick Bastinac instead.

I have no idea what North would have done if Freo took Bastinac at 20.

As it stands Morabito, Gysberts, Moore, Melksham, Butcher, Sheppard all went about 10-15 spots earlier than Nat Fyfe.

About 6 clubs have had pick 28 in this draft but we will never know who the other 5 would have picked if they kept it.

Looks very, very promising. Enjoyed the bits of commentary about him - although unfortunately it meant listening to all of it. Highlighted not just Anderson's talent, but also how much time Dwayne spends talking absolute tosh.

I dont know why. But the way he moves just screams North Melbourne footballer to me.

I think he will fit in well. Get him involved in thehuddle if he likes our community engagement. Always room for more level headed blokes around arden st

That can happen at times, but you can also ask the same question regarding Tambling vs Franklin.
If our recruiters get it right, there should be no issue with picking a player at 17 that we rate higher.

First if all, you're a gun Giantroo, thanks for doing these clips for us, it's greatly appreciated.

Secondly, I hope Jed plays on ball, he would be a point if difference in the contest. Him with Cunners and Swallow feeding it out. Yes please.

Brings something none of our other players do... Hawthorn IP :p

Noticing from his highlights he has a real tendency to just throw a boot at the ball if its in his vicinity. Does he have a soccer background or something?

It's the speed he hits the ball at that gets me up and about with him. Most of our guys can be a bit flat footed but he hits the ball a speed. Is exactly what we needed.
Yes that and his intensity. Seems a really up and about type, our squad looks flat too often almost in need of an energizer bunny which is why Turner and Garner have stood out with their appetite to keep competing, and seem genuinely dirty if miss a tackle etc. (and I mean that with no disrespect to our quality older players)

I wouldn't be surprised if our recruiters targeted him for this reason, we have enough nice/neat guys.

The thought of Garner, Turner and Anderson smashing guys in close proximity in future years gets me excited! :thumbsu:
