A season and a half of being in and out of the team, being injury prone, lacking confidence and doing nothing remotely at AFL standard.........we've got far too many players on our list(Daw, Jacobs, Wright..)getting paid to do basically nothing. How long can you wait till they 'come good'.

He is actually slow.
Put in a pathetic attempt at a chase in the 2nd quarter.
I was a big fan and supporter but he is not quite quick enough and not quite strong enough for this caper.

I think that was the one where Tarrant, who had been hobbled by a knock to the knee earlier, ran past him.

While you're all coming off the long run, you may as well take Garner, Wood and Turner with you.
Don't worry I'm almost thinking Wood has done the great corporate fraud robbery on our club. He held us to ransom after 2 good games and since has delivered jack shit based on what we are paying him. He cares more about how he looks than splitting packs and being a powerhouse marking forward for us. If he delivers another gutless performance next week against the Bullflogs all the supporters will be calling for his head. His total lack of interest over the last two weeks has been absolutely DISGRACEFUL. Even Laidley, who couldn't coach for shit, would have dropped the pretty boy by now. Imagine what Pagan would have done to him.

Can we play five taggers? Mountford, Jacobs, Dumont, Gibson and now Anderson, welcome to the club.
No

Mountford and Dumont will need to step away from those defensive roles next year anyway.
Who knows what will happen with Jacobs re injuries and Gibson will be on the way out over the next couple of years.

I personally don't think Anderson will make it but seeing how he goes as a defensive mid might be worth a try.

Hawthorn would not have let him go if he had any value. An absolute plodder, would be surprised if he could make it at Werribee. Possibly the worst recruit/trade of all time aside from Hay and the little Lance. Hawks laughing again (though ha ha that they thought JOM would be fit)

The guy seems to have absolutely no confidence. But after a terrible first half, he did some ok things in the second half. I'm in favour of giving him a really good run at it. Given him 6 solid weeks, tell him he wont be dropped and see what he can do. He may well be a flop, but at least we'll know for sure. Nothing to lose by giving him a real crack at it this year.

He's had two years trying to come back in after injury, so I'd cut him at least some slack.

But he'd want to get cracking and lift his game. By this time next year the competition for midfield spots will only be tougher, and he'll be bypassed very quickly.

Yeah, even when Hawthorn were at their best during the premiership years where limited role players could look like superstars, Anderson would still be ordinary They sold us a lemon.

He's reminding me of Urquhart more and more now.
The players getting games before him and stopping him from getting into the side should be embarrassing Jed.

Extremely disappointed he can't get a look in but is then barely knocking the door down to do so.

I don't believe that TBH. Hawks from what I know did want to keep him and many Hawk fans had told me they were disappointed he was leaving. It just hasnt worked out.

Hawks just werent willing to give enough to keep him, it doesnt mean they didnt want him. That happens.

Some trades work out and some do. Looking like this one isnt.

The only difference being that he won't be getting a two year contract extension based on nothing.

If we rookie him, I could deal with that, but if we extend his contract, I would be amazed.

Reminds me of another fantastic hawk to north allumni in Sierakowski.

Brought over to capitalise on Hawthorn's supposed glut of classy, precision kicking mids.

Reality - low onfield presence, fringe player at best and hawks make off like bandits. Once again.

I think the potential upside of giving Brad McKenzie longer on the list was higher than Jed. Brad had improved his contested game could act as a midsize intercepting defender capable of setting up by foot.
