Watching this Q&A today reminded me that Hannath is just a kid ...for a ruckman. A young face.

ps -These FFC Q&A sessions also annoy me more-so, where many are slack a__ses on their day off. Ex Sam menegola

The one thing I picked up in the video is that I hope part of his contract is the requirement to shave. That beard is nasty.

Also I miss Perth beaches so much. I wish I could do that on my day off.

Very good.

Silvagni will be needed next year, Spurr is best 22.
This.

Hannath surprises me a little bit but I guess the club see\know something we don't.

If Griffen was to be traded, then we would need him as a backup ruck.
This as well. Will be a pure backup option probably. Especially for 2016, and it also depends a lot on Griffin staying or not. But not a bad idea. We had probabyl the best ruck depth in the league in recent times, but it got really tested as well...

Very happy with all this and Kudos to SCOS for hanging around, he will be needed next year as I cannot see McPharlin lasting much longer if he does go on next year. Even if he does SCOS can put serious pressure on Dawson especially given Dawson is struggling ATM.

Have posted a few time before but Hannath can rebuild hgis body shape and be a reasonable forward I reckon. Slim him down and improve the power in his legs to give him burst speed and he could be a very handy forward/ruck (Vs ruck/forward). Griffin could easily seek his chances elsewhere at the end of the year.

from memory he was a late convert from rugby and is still somewhat of a footy newbie)

I know apeness played a lot of rugby and very little football in tge couple of years before he was drafted. But hadn't thought that hannath had a rugby background. His skills look a bit polished for a late convert to me... especially for a ruck.

Looking at all 3 players...

Spurr is entrenched in our 22...

Silvagni is a defender, I think freo gave him a 2 year deal incase McPharlin retires.

Hannath should of been given a 1 year deal. However, If Griffin is traded, he is insurance if either Clarke or Sandi goes down injured.

I think Hannath would benefit from a total body rebuild. Slim him down, work on his pace. Didn't SNOS go through a rebuild last year?

He might have had to regardless - he had some weird infection that hospitalised him and made him lose a lot of weight/fitness

I'm happy with all those of course, but really stoked about SCOS.

The little we've seen of him this year has shown steady improvement, he's got a great attitude, no fuss hard worker that I reckon could get a decent gig if he shopped himself to other clubs. So glad he's hanging around.
Also very happy to see he is staying around. I thought for sure he was headed to GWS.

Add me to the list that think Hannath could be a forward option. With Taberner/Apeness still young and Keps/Gumby struggling I'd give him a shot. I guess the coaching staff would be worried about the lack of defensive pressure from Pav AND Hannath. This is where we need both of Walters/Ballas in the side and Deboer/Mayne in top form.

Griffin to GWS in return for Coniglio? ;)

Thought Hannath might have went home and play for Port or something for opportunity, club obviously rate him to give 2 years.

Hannath came from Queensland, before he moved to Adelaide and played for Centrals so it would not surprise me if he had a rugby back ground.

wow, isn't that the same as spurr?

Woops, I got confused when I read the article on the afl website. I thought i was reading about hannath but it was actually spurr.

Early life
Originally from Nuriootpa, South Australia he played for Angaston Football Club in the Barossa Light & Gawler Football Association before being signed by Central District in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He was predicted to be drafted in the 2009 AFL Draft, but was not selected.[1] He continued to play for Centrals and was doing pre-season training with the Melbourne Football Club in Darwin when he was drafted by Fremantle with the 8th selection at the 2012 Pre-season Draft.[2] Hannath started the 2013 season playing for Peel Thunder in the West Australian Football League (WAFL).

Spurr, 26, told the club's website that he had no hesitation in signing a contract extension given that the Dockers had given him his opportunity at AFL level following years of toil in the state leagues in Queensland and South Australia.

"Fremantle gave me my first opportunity as a mature-age player and showed faith in me and I want to repay that faith that they've shown in me," Spurr said.
