Need to have been at the club for 10 years, age is not a factor in being veteran listed these days. That's my understanding anyway. Why is Chappy not listed on veteran list?
He came from Geelong..Why is Chappy not listed on veteran list?

I guess if they've changed clubs late in their career it is implied that they have enough currency as players to be on a list on their own merit and the club doesn't need a $120k incentive to keep them there.Seems bullshit. Isn't the vets rule to give older players an advantage to be retained? Shouldn't matter how long they've been there.
And that's what we want. Give it to him I sayFirst game back for awhile. I'd hold fire on blokes like Chappy, they have a habit of rubbing people's noses in it.
Am i the only one who thought he was outstanding on Sunday?
The guy did exactly what we hadn't been doing for the last 4 weeks.
All class going forward lowering his eyes hitting targets, won clearances when in the middle and the tackle he made stick in the second quarter was amazing.
If the ball slipped out, the Lions had 3 players ready to pounce in the middle of the ground for yet another turnover goal.
Paul Chapman is on track to play against Richmond on Saturday night despite suffering a knock to his hamstring last week.
Chapman spent the final moments of the game against Brisbane on the bench, with medical staff deciding not to risk putting the veteran back on the field.
“He’s got a deadest ‘corky’ right in the back of his hamstring when he’s in the air,” Club Doctor Bruce Reid said.
“He has a history of occasional hamstrings so we kept him moving.
“He will play this week.”
David Zaharakis won’t be running out for the Dreamtime at the G’ match as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury sustained in the match against Fremantle.
“He rolled his ankle two and a half weeks ago. He’s now out running pretty freely but not at top end speed,” Dr Reid said.
“We’ll be aiming for next week.”
There was more positive news for Jason Winderlich.
He’s now just two weeks away from a return from his back injury.
“He’s now been joining in for about three to four weeks, but full training now for the last week and a half,” Dr Reid said.
“He will play in about two more weeks.
“He’s tracking fantastically which will be terrific for the side.”
Heath Hocking is aiming to return from twin groin surgeries in about a month.
While Dr Reid dispelled any doubts surrounding Dustin Fletcher’s availability for this week.
The 399 game player was subbed late in the match but Dr Reid said that was more about the coaches being cautious.
“He did get a knock just before three quarter time, total irrelevancy.
“He will play next week (against Richmond).”
Myers is in a similar category to Hocking, too. Just a little more unknown, I suppose; as of last week he was still on non-contact duties.http://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/2015-05-26/chapman-cleared-to-play

He'd probably be our "specialist sub" for this year.Is Winders only 2 weeks away? If he can get back his fitness, a forward line with him Chappy and Cooney and Joe and Carlisle in form could have me quite firm.
It's possible to think he did both good and bad things...Everyone in our team made mistakes, the point is his second effort set the tone for the entire side. I dare say we didn't look back after that..
pfft, that's not the bigfooty way, you must ignore anything that doesn't suit your narrativeIt's possible to think he did both good and bad things...
