What I get from this is that there may never be another player who actually measures up to Gumby injury wise.

Or at least for their sake you hope not.

I think the poor guy was a ticking time bomb held together with sticky tape when he was drafted. He also grew a bit more in his second year iirc, which might’ve set off some more dominoes.

I kinda wonder if there were symptoms of an ordinary stress fracture that were ignored early on, either by player or staff, that might’ve prevented half the trouble if treated earlier though. Guess we’ll never really know…
