Player Watch #30: Harry 'Robbo' Sharp (traded from Brisbane)

Credit to Sharp and probably the coaches too. He’s being used in a way that exploits his strengths now. His confidence seems way up as a result.

Last year’s approach of “Let’s acquire an endurance-with-speed freak and then sub him on or off depending on the week” was baffling.

He’s still pretty scrappy with his kicking and I doubt that will ever change. But he creates chances with his run and pace that others wouldn’t so I can live with the erratic kicking for sure.

He’d have to be close to top 5 in the B&F early which is a huge surprise to me.

Having Pickett x2, Windsor and Sharp means there's always a good chance of a bloke running past the contest who can burn off chasers. Great option to have and the space in our forward line means he doesn't have to be pinpoint going in, just needs to kick it to an advantage side.

He is really benefiting from 5 on the bench, full credit he has to his running ability with some physicality at the contest, in the air and his tackling.
