Starting to think we should have axed him as well.

I know a knock not soft tissue, but his whole career is routine injuries, suspensions, inconsistency. It's unsettling for the squad and hurts. (Unlike Spud, Boomer)

If we keep losing games before his return and no chance of finals, I'd be relegating him to 2nds/mentor duties only, then delist.

I guess the best way to challenge this proposition is to ask - would you think the same if he kicked 7.1 and wasn't injured?

Cos that's not that far off what happened on Sunday, after a fashion.

Injured again regardless. 7 would have been much better sure but Waite always finds ways to under deliver - hence why we have him and no one else wanted him. It's a pattern.

If when he returns we're out of finals contention, then he should be forgotten unless injuries elsewhere demands he gets some farewell games.

Would have got a spot in the Bullies side last season. A bit harsh he has been great when on tbe park. I gave him 3 votes last week, i wasn't going to be blinded by his goal kicking.

A great get........... and im a Daw fan

Bold bit - Strange assertion. He's been excellent for us. He's barely had a bad game - has he had one?

As for being forgotten if we're out of finals contention - no. No way. As far as I am concerned, 2017 is purely about merit. Reward results. On that basis Waite would be close to first picked.

I wouldn't be off loading him too fast at the end of the year. He is our best player when fit, and hasn't lost any of his skill whatsoever. Until he shows that his age is an issue, I'd say he has a spot in our team. People underestimate the importance of having senior players who are genuine quality around a young list. The perfect example is the bulldogs rebuild vs melbourne. By keeping the likes of Murphy, Boyd and Morris in their side they were back in premiership contention immediately, as opposed to Melbourne who went the other way and are still recovering. Of the old guys who are OOC at the end of 17 I'd be keeping Waite and Hansen (Lachie more as backup) and delisting Thompson and Gibson. That way McKay can develop with some support around him and won't immediately be getting a high quality defender. So yeah, I wouldn't be writing a player of W80s quality of just yet.

Don't get me wrong, i was happy we picked up Waite and no regrets. He's played some top games. Gone missing and injured a lot also.

Just feel on reflection it may have best to move him on. Spud also had a good year last year, we certainly could have done with him on Sunday but we chose to delist him on as unnecessary.

I don't think our round 1 team was picked on merit, othrwise Thommo and Hansen don't play. If we are to miss finals I'd forget the retirees and purely focus on mid-age core and youngsters.

I saw it gr. I have the show on series link, which is helpful as you'll often see a North player on the panel or a North potential F/S highlighted.
Yep saw it before. Highlighted VW and Woods game and that was about it for us.
