Does anyone think he'll get in trouble for the tackle?
Borderline, could easily go either way. Only had the one arm pinned and lowered himself quite low with him (wasn't like he lifted, spun, and dumped). But he did cause concussion.

I don't really know how they adjudicate these things. They BS about there being 2 actions, but I don't buy it. They seem to just judge it based on damage, reputations, and 'how bad it looked'.

I wonder how Waite will evaluate his career when's he's done. Will he consider himself more north or more Carlton?

Sure he's played more footy with the blues and has he family connection but geez he has played his best footy at the Roos and seems very content with his life.

Hasn't been suspended, plays for his mates and the club. He's been sensational overall but it's the way he's embraced north that pleases me the most.

We'd be kidding ourselves to not give him another year next season, if his body holds up. Good thing is we can make that call next season. Does anyone think he'll get in trouble for the tackle?
If he holds up for 6 or so weeks id just about give him 2 years. For mine we have the 3 talls pegged now (when fit).

From the articles i've read and interviews I've seen I honestly think he sees himself as a North man. There was just so much... shit... during his stint at Carlton. Clearly had problems with discipline, keeping himself healthy, relationships with the coaches. He was a whipping boy, and wouldn't have been considered a leader's arsehole.

Completely different story since coming here. I think reaching his peak (which he only managed here) and enjoying being the best he can be is what drives him these days. You see him get shitty with himself on field occasionally when he makes mistakes. He's become a team player too, he understands the value in that.

I suspect a fresh start where he was able to get rid of all that mental baggage from a decade of misery at Carlton, and a fresh set of eyes on his injury plagued body, were enough for his attitude to completely change. And then when he started dominating and actually getting respect? Being cheered by the crowd and celebrated, instead of having snide comments made about him constantly? Looks and acts like a completely different man.

I think he's actually a good bloke too,we take the kids to a clinic every year in Hobart the day after one of the games and after it finished most of the players just chill out and talk together but Waites always helping turn the snags and getting involved,a great pick up he's being all round.
