Theo X was asked for his assessment of Hales this arvo on SEN, by Robbo, and he said something I hadn't considered....... "The problem Hale has is that he's just not working hard enough. There's no point in presenting if you do so in a half hearted manner, leaving an opponent all over you. He should be working his opponents over and attacking the mark like his life depends on the result. I'm not seeing it, and haven't for awhile".
Can't wait for Zebs' "David Hale isn't working hard enough in his own time" thread.

Man, you're dynamite on those quotes, mate. For those of you sitting at home and pondering whether to give some shit to the North Mods, know that TT has a photographic memory.

I think he will have a good year and show us all what he can do.With a new coach and quick movement of the ball he will have a better chance down there. Will kick 50 + goals this season.

I don't see him kicking more than 30. He's just rubbish in any contested marking situation, he should just stick out the dukes and could easily draw a free kick when they smash his arms. God he's frustrating to watch

David Hale showed agin today why he is our answer at full forward position for the two thoudand and ten season.

He crunched pack situations and kicked goals when it suited him.

Despite this I feel the handsome samson has a bit up his long sleeve jumper sleeve.

While others should be handing back their match fee today, David Hale should be collecting double.

David was much better today. He still did a few things that frustrated me but he tried his guts out and managed to kick a couple despite crap delivery into the f50. Makes me feel a LITTLE bit better about the first 2 rounds

I can name one: Paul Salmon.

I can't think of any others. Guys like Lade/McKernan/Kreuzer have had good seasons, but were basically resting ruckman.

We expect a 6'8 beanpole to be our permanent forward.

There is a reason nobody plays these guys (except us) as forwards these days. Flooding has basically negated pack marking. And when the ball hits the ground these guys are as useless as my penis and testicles.

Stop the charade. Petrie is our best forward. Hale is not a forward.

Hamish and Goldstein are both better in the ruck.

Hale goes out of the side.

Time to find our next key forward.

Re: Name a 6'6 or over permanent forward that has worked (warning: another Hale bashing thread)

The only one I can think of is Paul Salmon before his knee exploded
