A jumper paying tribute to a player...e.g a Swans jumper that pays tribute to Skilton. You pick the player

I'd argue that 31 threads with only a handful of replies is worse.

I agree they're both pretty bad (small threads with no replies are worse) but when the idea of a portfolio is to showcase ones work, usually it is a complete set. It's like putting a half-finished painting in a gallery. If I ever get around to starting a portfolio (I had plans to but with school I couldn't get anywhere) I'll make sure the designs are completed before starting the thread, and then drip-feed the designs over a few weeks. That way, people remain interested, it stays near the top of the board and it's all wrapped up reasonably quickly

Personally, I won't post a portfolio on here unless it's 100% completed, but there's other benefits to designing a portfolio rather than to just display a overarching concept. It's primarily a tool to develop and improve your designing- if you feel as though you've achieved that without finishing off your previously allocated ideas, then finishing it off really is irrelevant. Also, If you're designing a portfolio purely to please someone else, you're clearly doing it for the wrong reason.

I agree that portfolios are a fantastic way to develop skills, but I'd find it strange to start something major like a portfolio and then not finish it. Even if you believe you've mastered the skill you were learning through the portfolio, a little extra practice doesn't hurt

take up the challenge. Examples could include: velvet worm, numbat, Wollemi pine, curly pond weed; there's plenty to choose from

A footy t-shirt guernsey (e.g. Geelong's preseason jumper from a couple years back), but incorporating a design onto the sleeves
