Some piss weak defensive efforts from Chad. Midfield got slaughtered when it mattered most. Rampe is cooked, Sheldrick is meh. Melican needs to take marks otherwise he's ineffective. Heeney kept us from getting blown out. Good pressure from the youngsters & fringe players but once again our senior & more media noted players were piss weak.

Would it hurt to have another option when the corridor gets blocked off? maybe offer multiple leads rather than standing still or even some handball receives & run which means our handballing skills need to improve big time. Far out that was a bummer.

Not sure Melican could mark more tonight :p

I agree on the leading , we often don't seem to be leading at all

Yeah 2-6 will be pretty tough to come back from. Not impossible, we did do so in 2017, but tough.
Funnily enough and probably very unpopular, but I still kinda feel like THAT was the main flag that got away post-2016.

I know we were 2 games off, but our best was the beat, and Richmond in 2017 were more gettable than Geelong or Brisbane on the big day in 2022 and 2024.

Cunningham has a place in this team, just need a bloody reserves game to return through.

Look forward to Melican's return.

Campbell got set up 3 times with hospital handballs. His kicking let him down a few times.

Ladhams, Cleary worked hard, so did Corey. Hanily showing we had a good small forward prospect in waiting all along.

Bice was a mixed bag, but he's going to have those games.

Sheldrick with some good contested stuff, work in close, particularly late, but also a few clangers.

Just so sloppy, cost us big time and aside from that spurt before half time, just didn't get it together.

At least Port aren't good, although depending on what happens this week, could be a new coach bounce.

Knowing our luck, Rozee, JHF and Butters will go nuts with bloody Drew putting a clamp on Heeney.

Agree 100% about Cunningham having a place in the team. Who do you reckon for? I'd be leaning towards Rampe or Blakey (fine with him moving up the field) though I doubt that's what they'll do. At least if Cox is serious about improving our one-on-one ability in D50, that's who I think it should be for.

Thought we did 80% of stuff well then couldn't finish it off. McCartin kicking to McLean for example. There were a heap of similar instances where we just couldn't get it to click.

amartey out for a few?
Almost guaranteed even if he hasn't properly done the hammy. With his history he'll be managed. Going to hurt big time.

People will look at his stats and say he had a great game but I actually thought he was fairly uninvolved today. Didn't actually do much.

I thought he was best on really set up a lot of play

, they want it in his hands but still

Fair, only had 9 tackles, 15 contested, 500m gained, 9 clearances, 7 score involvements. While copping a stoppage tag all night.
I thought he was good, but go jerk him off on your own board.
