Thought you guys might be interested to learn that Hickey has returned to the Gold Coast and will play for Palm Beach Currumbin in the QAFL next year. A few former Swans up here now with Bud, Hick and Malceski.

To be fair, Hickey is a Queenslander and actually played for the Suns so there's a connection there if his kids were to end up in the academy. Something far bigger came out today though. Not sure if it was said in jest but Hickey's new coach David Armitage said on SEN that he was going to attempt to recruit Buddy to the club:

“Buddy show”: Ex-Saint hopes to lure Franklin to local Gold Coast club in 2024

“Hopefully we can get him to play a game.”
