How the hell do you count that?Well they barely kicked a footy in 2020
I didntHow the hell do you count that?
You made a mistake in your wording. Own it.
I think we forget their young talls sometimes though.Delist!
But seriously, it is a massive concern that Reid, Cox and Jones can't get on the field. And that's a chunk of our wannabe spine for the next decade.

Definitely becoming a bit of a concern.
We seem to be so far behind in player development. Richmond just played a final with a first year KPD.
How old was the rest of their defence around that first year KPD?
A good mix - Gibcus with mainly Tarrant, Broad, Balta, Grimes, Vlastuin & Short.
No real different to us.
Their average age 27.
Ours (Cutler, Ridley, Laverde, Kelly, Redman, BZT, Heppell) just over 26.
premiership backline no lessRemove Heppell who's playing on the wing and recalculate, remove Cutler who only covered injury and recalculate.
Then consider how many games those players remaining have played, and how many of them have been in defence.
Richmond's backline is far easier to play in as a young KPD than ours.
Back to running? I don't think he's ever been up to running, has he?Are they going to update us on Reid, or are we to assume it’s worst than they originally said. Almost mid February and he isn’t back to running yet.
Can not give you an official update but Saturday he just did 5 minutes of handball so it doesn’t look all the good right now. I doubt he is playing before mid season. Are they going to update us on Reid, or are we to assume it’s worst than they originally said. Almost mid February and he isn’t back to running yet.
If I recall originally they said he would have a modified program for a few weeks. It’s been 2 months and all he’s doing is handballing. It would be great if afl clubs in general were much more transparent with how players are tracking. Is it much worse than first thought? Has he had a set back? Are they taking extra precaution? Not that hard to announce a simple update. Can not give you an official update but Saturday he just did 5 minutes of handball so it doesn’t look all the good right now. Hopefully sorts itself out a la Ridley. And soon.
i was making light fun...but you had to take it too farNo rush, we've got James Stewart for another 2 years remember?
I remember training watchers saying that he was distraught after receiving news, but then they released a relatively mild prognosis. More than handballing. Yet to do a full session however. If I recall originally they said he would have a modified program for a few weeks. It’s been 2 months and all he’s doing is handballing. Skinny talls with narrow shoulders - a pattern is starting to emerge. It’s a body type to be avoided I reckon.
Skinny seems Ok when coupled with broad, square shoulders….it’s the size of the frame I think.Yep. Put a line through that, certainly in the top 15.
It's not just being thin. Danier, McKay and the Kings do not have powerhouse builds but the proportions are there.
It's proportions that don't looking like they can hold weight.
He was broader than Cox or Reid…but take you’re point. Did Fletch avoid weights? Kept his speed forever.Just shows how much a freak Fletcher was.![]()

I often think guys like Cox are better off staying skinny and focusing on maximising their strengths- I.e. running. There will be a degree to which some size and strength follows naturally….just let that happen.
