I don't know what these guys mean by "got suspended for bumping". He got suspended for being aboriginal and being a Docker. Get the facts right guys...

Still sickens me when I look at that footage, and think that he got 4 weeks for hitting someone in the chest with his backside. :thumbsd:

I mean FFS. He didn't even get him in the head. Why the frigg did they not appeal?

4 weeks.

You might want to be careful about what you say there. There are a lot of pathetic decisions handed down by the tribunal. But to suggest it's due to someones race (and to a lesser extent club) can be very dangerous.

Stating facts can be dangerous, you are right.

I don't agree with Memories, but how can his view be dangerous? Will the Gestapo go to his house in the middle of the night?

Umm fairly sure it's true though. If it had have been someone like Cook who had stomped on baby White's foot, he would've got probably 2 as many weeks.

Does anyone else find it interesting (I'm only bringing this up coz I'm working on a movie about last season) that during the Sirengate match, not one umpire would pay attention to half our team trying to let them know the match was over, yet White whinges the the ump that his foot was stomped on, and the umpire actually LISTENS?!

Wow - again. You guys are drawing very long bows to suggest that tribunal decisions are racially motivated.

I'm not saying it's definitely the case but you have to wonder at some of the lengthy sentences handed down to Aboriginal players.

4 weeks for Johnno for an innocuous bump, Farmer gets hit with a sledgehammer everytime he faces the tribunal, 7(?) weeks for Kicketty in the demo derby, Pickett cops 6 weeks for a head on bump before the announced crackdown, Cookie gets 2 for a legal shephard within 5 metres of the ball, etc, etc...

In isolation might not seem too bad but there does seem to be a pattern there, particulary when viewed in comparison to the lenient sentences some other players get. Of course you're not allowed to use past cases as comparison at the tribunal. Wonder why?

Add Stoke's 4 weeks & Grover being the only player to go for a jumper punch to that.

Statistically at least it looks bad , but I don't think it is deliberate , more of an unconcious thing IMO.

Commenting on racism does not make a racist comment. Maybe you'll learn that once you get out of highschool.
Thats ok. When you are playing for the dockers you can sit down with Johno and talk about it.

You wouldn't be suggesting a white conspiracy against Freo would you? Still a generalisation about race.

Freo will never be a great team if it uses a us against them mentality and chases shadows that may or may not exist. Lets hope the team doesn't believe in this stuff.

Of course he does, it's called prior record, remember? Besides, eye-gouging someone, whether it causes damage or not, is a pretty low act. Nothing wrong with that suspension.

I'm not disagreeing there, but go and look at past cases of eye gouging and no-one has even got close to 6 weeks. Fev only got 1 week for a much more severe gouge on Grover. It can't all be because of his previous record. Mind you, Freo should've realised Farmer had no hope of getting off and taken the 4.

The MRP gave every excuse under the sun why Aaron Davey shouldn't be sighted for his elbow to the head. It was like that segment on jjj "defend the indefencable".
So I think its safe to drop all the race based arguements, clearly not an issue - being a Docker clearly is, but it always has been and until we win some respect in the comp it will be. Its as simple as that, so best to just get over it guys.
