I don't know what these guys mean by "got suspended for bumping". He got suspended for being aboriginal and being a Docker. Get the facts right guys...

You would be the type of idiot that would be in favour of two tribunals, one for the white players and one for the indigenous players with the latter presided over by someone like J Farmer or perhaps they could get Mad Dog Muir!

Geez you dribble some pretty dumb crap sometimes mick.

I know but its in keeping with the topic.

Steven Dodd stands on Damon White's foot. Damon squeals like a little girl. Dodd gets a week's suspension. Shame AFL. Shame Damon White.

And dumb Steven Dodd, you'd like to think that he would be a bit more intelligent now that his equally dumb mate Polak has gone!

No one said it wasn't dumb, but it wasn't worth a week.

Glen Slappo smacks Croad across the face (that was dumb) but gets off because it wasn't a strike as it was an open hand. But it was still dumb.

Fraser Gehrig pulls David Mundy's hair like a pre-schooler (how dumb was that?), but doesn't even get cited. Would he have been suspended if Mundy had've cried to teh umpire... "but umpy, he pulled my hair"... My guess is nothing would have happened at all. Even though it was really dumb.

Just two examples that immediately spring to mind, of dumb things that didn't get suspensions. I didn't think being dumb was a suspendable offence.

Agreed but it doesn't alter the fact that it was a dumb thing to do and he should've thought before he 'stomped', now the team is without a player it can ill afford to lose. Mind you I don't believe it will make much difference to the end result. Bombers by 27pts.

Just want the same penalty for the same offence for everyone regardless of colour , team , star / non star etc.

Who has gotten the top three longest longest suspensions this season?

Thats one and that is fair enough. Now address the others of the top 3 and you would have to agree that they have been hard done by considering what has happened since.

MJ's suspension was a joke...

I haven't seen my GF fire up so much over a suspension.. was good to see :D

I guess you'll be happy with tomorrow nights winning Lotto numbers as well?

The dumb pricks who committed the offences that attracted them, simple!

Dumb enough to attract more than twice the penalty that others have received.

What have they had in common?

And while you are here , don't attempt to evade the swear filter, thanks.

the johnson bump was the only incident this season that had the hip make head high contact. it won't matter who makes head high contact, the afl has said that the head is sacred.

what's the other incident you are talking about???
dodd, carr, or am i forgetting one??

It wasn't his hip it was his bottom on the chest mainly, despite the boy falling as he was tackled.

See my sig.

Stokes from Geelong was the other one.

The three longest suspensions handed out so far have been to Farmer , Johnson & Stokes and there have been far worse than the latter two since.

why do you care about the stokes incident???

it looked very bad anyway

I do not for a minute think there is an orchestrated conspiracy against Freo. I do believe getting a fair deal for us across the full range possibilities when either our Club or players come before the AFL bureaucrats is way down the list of probabilities. Our Club is likely to be in the top 5 earners this year. But the wise men from the East have no good reason (never have done) the to be fair, objective and impartial with treatment of our players.

We probably are still seen a basket case, but now, with a basket full of money. Our basket will help prop up the AFL so it is in no ones interest that we get an even break.

It is a mindset that has infiltrated footy in the media through to the umpires and tribunal.

I had a bit to say about this last year. Statistically we get savaged by the umps. Unless something changes in how our Club is treated we can expect to be leading the 'frees against' again this year.

So, with players, a game plan and 42,000 members looking towards action in the last week of September will mean nothing if we dont get a fair go.

Makes it hard also to get a fair go when the local media are usually leading the lynching party.

If our esteemed neighbours ever got the pointy end of the stick like we do the whole WA media would be up in arms demanding fairness.

The only article defending Pav was the one He wrote himself. Lol.

That is just the way it is I suppose.
