Too many Pies / Blues crossovers to list - particularly in the early days - but Scotland would clearly be the pick of the last 30 yrs. Full list below but a summary:

Craig Davis
Ohlson
Peter McKenna
Barry Mitchell (+Swans)
McGuane
Hotton
Scotland
Bryan
C CLoke
Russell
Cam Wood
Of course Dale Thomas

I am getting excited about this signing.

Fas can seriously play. He will make us a lot more dangerous up forward. I am really looking forward to what he can do for us.

I know there's a stigma about recruiting 'cast-offs' (not that he was delisted mind, you). And yeah, he's has some injury and mental health issues, but if those can be fixed or at least managed, he is best 22 every day of the week. IF he can improve on pressure acts (big if), he'd be one of our best smalls.

So, all aboard the 'Fazzy' train!

Bloke is backing himself to prove himself - I get a lot of positive vibe out of such demonstrations of self belief and good faith negotiation - new Club clean sheet - proven performer when fit and mentally well - a lot of positives could eventuate and downside not much. Nice pick-up a one year option.

Welcome Alex - you will look good in Navy Blue and get a chance to kick a few against your old mob no doubt - and cop some boos.

I hate to post Collingwood Media vids, but this is entertaining

Steele interviewing him ahead of 100 game I assume he's obviously hamming it up for the cameras, but obviously got a bit of strut about him. Should be good for the group.
Ha that is gold ferrisb thanks for posting this!!! Was that Goldsack with the mask on?? Or Howe??

Must admit I really disliked him as a Collingwood player, not for any logical reason, just gave that vibe of a player that you love when they play for you, but "love to hate on" when they play for the opposition - B Harvey, S Milne, A Didak, D Bewick etc etc etc.

I shall turn my random dislike into random love and embrace him immediately. I shall achieve this by calling out "Fazzy"...."That's Faztastic"..."The Fazinator" etc very loudly each time he does something, just to annoy my mates - as generating Faz hate in them will only increase my Faz joy.

I hope the body and mind are OK and he's ready to rock....Fazzzy!!!

Hmmm I rate him as a talent, but I think there's a reason why he was let go so easily by the Pies - he doesn't fit the ideal gamestyle of pressure and defense.

Now, I believe you can carry one of these guys if their offensive capabilities make up for it, so let's hope it's him. It does mean going "too tall" may be exacerbated in terms of forward pressure.

Hope Fas makes a great contribution at Carlton

I'm not sold on Collingwood players coming over to Carlton cause they can't find form at the Pies.
Anyone who goes to that Club gives them 100% of themselves and love 'em like no other.

This is why I don't like it ---> If they can't get their shite together at Collingwood, what hope is there for any other Club to get the best out of them?

Not sure if its been posted yet but very interesting read on Fasolo opening up about dealing with depression. Incredibly honest read. Terrific to see hes still at it and I get the feeling hes going to enjoy being one of the more senior players and help the kids develop not only as players but as people -

Always thought he could play and he can.
Natural forward who can actually win a game off his own boot when he's on.
Strong overhead for his size and a natural finisher.
Not overly quick and gets slammed over the years for his lack of defensive pressure but these aren't his strengths.
Play him to his strengths and he will be a contributor.

Good luck to him.

yes ... fagiolo in italian

but in the Neapolitan dialect that "j" sound in the middle (ie "fajolo") is pronounced more like a "z", as in "fazool" ... not sure if Alex has "bean" to Naples though ... sorry
I often heard my Siciliano friend refer to pasta fazool. He reckons it goes alright.
