Once Corey believes he belongs he'll probably be a solid AFL player, IMHO. But against Dusty, Cotch etc he was never going to force his way in. He's a mid, or nothing. At GC he has space to make a role his own.

Anyway, off he goes and I'm shedding any tears. But I'm not grinning about it either. He's a glass with 50% of the volume occupied type player.

We had a purple patch a decade ago with Reiwoldt, Cotchin, Vickery, Martin, Conca, Ellis, Vlaustin

All good picks with a slight question mark on Vickery in the top 10

2013 onwards is where we slide, starting with Ben Lennon

It also coincides with our rise up the ladder, so I suppose the picks themselves become more speculative

Reckon he and Lennon were our only real misses. Conca was smashed by injuries so who knows how he would have turned out, playing good footy at Freo. Perhaps the jury is still out on Higgins, but no real clangers.

Not a surprise. great skills, but not mentally, or athleticism. Hmm, that's not eh most awesome wrap up of aplayer is it. Oh well. He's had a much better AFL career than most.
