David Mirra
Games: 4
Goals: 0
Yabby Medal votes: 0
Averages
Kicks: 11.8 per game
Handballs: 6.0 per game
Disposals: 17.8 per game
Marks: 5.8 per game
Tackles: 3.0 per game
Milestones
Career high tackles in a game (4, against Adelaide Crows in round 1 and Geelong Cats in round 5)
Standout
Round 4, 2019 (versus St Kilda Saints): Mirra had had played reasonably well for the Hawks in his first two games of the season (wins over Adelaide and North Melbourne). He arguably took his game to a new level against the Saints. Playing across half-back, Mirra had 20 disposals and took eight marks, but importantly had seven rebound 50s.
Shocker
Round 5, 2019 (versus Geelong Cats): Brought back to earth by the Cats in round 5, Mirra's deficiencies as a defender were exposed on the MCG on Easter Monday. The epitome of the good ordinary player, it was to be the last game Mirra would play for Hawthorn as the club announced post-season that Mirra would not be offered a contract for Hawthorn in 2020. He has subsequently signed for Collegians in the VAFA Premier Division.
