exactly right
none of our 1st rounders JZ cunners seem to be able to play a full game at 100%, let alone game in game out
Goldy dropped off, Thommo the same and we just haven't had enuf players with killer instinct
over the last few yrs the Team , mostly, has folded when the pressure has come on

But....last yr the Dogs won from 7th, the yr before we made a PF from 7th
All our players need to step up, coach too
must get games into evw and Clarke, wagner and daw and Wood and yeah well plenty to choose from really
%age will be super important this yr, only brissy still a basket case IMO

Why was he allowed to go back on? It was a practise match FFS - even if it was 0.0001% he still should not have gone back on.

Another case of our disgraceful injury management. Those that want to blame "luck", need look no further then how we handled Mason on the weekend.

Call it disgraceful all you like, you have to consider two things: Hindsight isn't something many think about.
The player gets the question: you feeling ok?
The player will more than likely, say yes (out of pride) and be WILLING to continue… ignoring any real drama (read: your overreaction).
Coach given the all-clear without knowing too much about his 'apparent injury scare' …they're AFL players not round ball code nancy boys.

After the game, the player gets the same question… if he says something / winces.. you know that a pre-cautionary x-ray procedure is a GIVEN.

FYI,
  • 26 bones (One-quarter of the bones in the human body are in the feet.)
  • 33 joints
  • more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments (Tendons are fibrous tissues that connect muscles to bones and ligaments are fibrous tissues that connect bones to other bones.)

All I got from that, is that he shouldn't have been risked and allowed to go back on in a practise game.

Considering there's six on the bench that rotations = zero factor. Playing with fire but pride is the underlining factor as the question is asked.. player says he's keen & willing to continue. Still think we'll MISS Boomer.
