Past #32: Mason Wood - 65 NM games/76 NM goals - delisted end '20 - SSP selection for STK '21 - GL Mase

Couldn't get up the ground to get involved and was ineffective in the F50.

When he was good last week he was getting the footy 80m out and having an impact working back into the F50.

He couldn't do either well today. Just not his day.

Sides like the swannies who clog up their defence are always going to be hard work for HFF's.

It won't get any easier next week as Melbourne are copying Sydneys game plan.

At least Mason will have the wide open spaces of the G to work with.

However, if he stinks it up again next week, he should be dropped.

Would have liked Scott to at least utilise his mobility and threw him into the midfield or something.

Sits on his hands all day does our coach.
Hey hey hey, that's not true. He moved Lachie back and Durds forward in the last quarter!

When he cant get into games, he needs to run up and down a wing all day...

Going by what we saw him produce yesterday I doubt he has the match fitness to do so at present.

Had a shocker but at least he has another game under his belt.

This isn't fantasy football.

You do realize that coaching in the modern age isn't about chucking names around a magnet board don't you? :$

Better tell Bevo he's not doing it right.

For mine you would think the football department has a mid term strategy. They need to stick to it even in the face of inconsistent performances. Kneejerk yoyo selections will not help the cause. Mason Wood would be part of that strategy. Get games into him. Consistency will come.

Theres no point in playing him in the VFL. We arent winning the flag this year and Wood has played 20 games. He needs to be played every single week this year and needs to develop ways to get into the game when it isnt naturally happening for him.

This guy is extremely talented and there are 17 other clubs who would take him in a heart beat. He had a rubbish game but must be played IMO
