He can win a hit out but that really is it. He hasn’t improved at all in his follow up work or his contested marking around the ground

Just watching him as well you can see him drop his head when something goes wrong. He doesn’t use it as fuel to go better at the next contest it just seemingly breaks him mentally

I don’t think he’ll be the number one answer and that means we definitely need to trade for someone at the end of this year

He was our lowest rated player on ground. He was shocking. Yes he got some hitouts, that's it.

Aside from being easily moved by street close to their goals twice and the gut tap he pretty good . Won a lot of taps and competed in the air .
More than I thought he was capable of .

Watching CCJ last night as well, the club has been a ****ing disaster when it comes to recruiting ruckman. Ryan & CCJ are the only 2 genuine ruckman we have targeted in close to a decade & they are both laughing stocks

I’ve been a serious critic of him but credit where it’s due.

Yep was far from our worst today especially considering he is extremely underdone.

We basically Broke even on the hit outs.
Won the clearances which rarely happens.
His hit outs to advantage from centre bounces were noticeable when watching it live.
Both ruckman failed to adapt to the shallow throw in’s done by the boundary umpire on the GSS side in Q1.

Yeah he got outmuscled from a throw in for a direct goal but I’ve seen that happen to Nank plenty of times without the pile on.

I can’t say I’ve seen the footage of his off the ball hit…but he’s critiqued for being weak, soft etc and then takes a stand and people bemoan that as well.

There were aerial contests he didn't even bother putting his arms up.
