Agreed. He was always behind Wrighty. He has hopefully been told that he is one injury - or perhaps a run of bad form from someone - away from getting a game.
Don't get me wrong, I still reckon he had done enough and I'm not sure I still wouldn't prefer giving Sam Wright a bit more time under the belt given his injury history recently. Not so much about whether he can perform, kid has solid brass kahuna's and Sam will get it done. More of a concern for his long term durability and giving him extra time to get 100%.
Similar for me with Thompson/Hansen, would have been happy to have EVW or Durdin in his role...
Have to assume the club know better than us how everyone is travelling. Also need to look at the first month or so - I'm hopeful they already have a debut in mind for both EVW & Durdin.

Ruined his chance with the GWS shocker.

He'll be fine, he shouldn't have been selected and wasn't.

It will only make him work even harder, giving out cheap spots on age alone does neither the player or team any favors.

A chance will come soon enough, same for Durdin.

Also down back, Ed Vickers-Willis caught the eye with his efforts in the contest.

“He mixed and matched, so he played a little bit tall and a bit of small and medium,” Brown said.

“He came forward really strongly, tackled aggressively, won the ball in the contest well and used it well.”

Is this guy best 22, there are rumors he won't line up for round 1 because you guys are opting for experience vs West Coast's tall forwards?

Assumed the best place to come for answers about how likely he is to play early after a good preseason showing is here
among you fine people :)

Thanks for having me!
Once he starts he wont leave the team IMHO.........he will be a great back man of the club . I see loads of good things from this kid.

Private school boy? Check.
Good VFL/JLT form? Check.
Place in the side for him? Check.

Don't know why Ed's still being snubbed. Should have debuted at the end of last year but we kept playing McKenzie and Mullett.

^Was poor in the last JLT game.
And shouldnt be considered ?? Frap me a young key back starting his career isnt going to make mistakes ?? Why not start the season where the young pups start rd 1 and those old dogs relogated to the VFL and they have to learn to get hungry. If Durdin and EVW do not play at least 20 games between them this year then the coaching staff that are supposed to be following their own written agenda...... who do not develop these 2 this year are void of doing their jobs.

He was towelled by Toby Greene wasn't he? Pretty fair ruddy player. Not sure why Ed was banished because of that.

On the balance of his JLT form plus his finish to the VFL season he should be in. I can't work out why he's not.

Greene wasn't a great match up for him and is not the type of player he would be selected to play when promoted.
