How did hey catch him with his incredible leg speed? That's what amazes me.Each time this thread is bumped I keep on thinking "Matt Campbell arrested again?" :stern look

But what a 70 metres!!!!He pinged his hammy 70 metres after taking flight.
Pretty hilarious that Cruize, is what 23? averaged about 17 touches a game last year, kicked a bag of 4 against the Bulldogs and someone like Melbourne didn't throw some cash his way, instead went for David Rodan, a bloke that can hardly run out a qtr.
They also went for Shannon Byrnes, a guy who never kicked more than 10 goals in a season twice, playing in one of the best sides of the modern era.
Campbell kicked 30 one year, Byrnes twice, but Campbell did it in a bottom 4 team, Byrnes in a premiership side. Byrnes is 30, Campbell is 25.
Some list managers are hilarious.
Jay Shulz kicked over 50 in a bottom 4 team, should we chase after him?
To be honest I think your post is a bit overblown. I don't think anyone intelligently thought Campbell was in Rioli's class. It was just used to stir up Hawthorn supporters. Interestingly though, statistically at the time there wasn't a lot of difference. But Rioli is in another league to Campbell. It's like with champion racehorses it's in the genes. But he had his good games like against Collingwood in 2008 and in 2011 against the Dogs where he kept Murphy on a leash. We really seem to miss having a player who does something worthwhile once every 6 weeks.
Matt Campbell's achievements at North Melbourne were more overblown than Aaron Edwards. At least with Azza, we were all in on the joke. With Flash, there were too many people who honestly thought he was fit to carry Cyril Rioli's boots. He was called Flash not because he was quick but because he was a flash in the pan.
I'm not talking about us, I'm talking about a bottom 4 side topping up with mature aged players.
Shulz is a fantastic footballer.
Well we're a bottom 6 side ATM, and I'll be less than impressed if we picked up Garlett.
We offered him a 1 year contract. He'd still be on the list if he didn't go back to WA.
He'd probably be getting a game going off his WAFL form.
