Only one other AFL listed player in front of him.

With his numbers and form, he would definitely have debuted for us last season. Geelong had the wings pretty sown up, but we have an opening. Hugo will get one you would think. The other might be one of Short, Dow, Sonsie, Trainor, Ross, Trezise, none of whom are wingman.

If he has a good preseason he will be pressing early.

Yes, apparently they needed 2 rookie list spots for Guthrie and Bews but only had 1 available, so Retschko got the flick.
