Reckon a few of our new additions will spend some time in the VFL before they debut.

Cumming will probably be the first to debut early. Grlj might be a possibility but don't believe it will be round 1.

Patrick will spend most of the season in the VFL imo

Yeah perhaps. Forgot about him. Don't see a spot for him on a HFF now that we have Cumming, Lalor, Hotton, Campbell etc and he's not getting a run in the middle so it's wing or VFL.

Wing is a quite demanding position at AFL level with all the defensive running they have to do.

I'll be surprised see Grlj starting there initially from game 1. Retschko seems a good bet given we still lack wing options and his extra preseason.

I tend to agree, but thats also because - i have no other names to put on a wing now that Pickett & KMAC are gone.

I'm hoping he is our first "Houli" of our rebuild. A guy who ticks the boxes of something we clearly need who can jump in immediately.

I've never seen him play, so i have no idea. I reckon by round 10 we will tho, exactly like we did with Kosi. Low risk/mid reward type.

My biggest concern is that Geelong delisted him. I honestly can't think off the top of my head a guy the Cats have delisted who went on to play 150 games somewhere else. They rarely get it wrong.

Looking over the Geelong board, he rarely got mentioned. The Geelong version of his page like this was 1 single page that started with him being recruited as a rookie, and ended with him being deslisted. A single page.

Meanwhile he has had 1 or 2 training sessions with us and we are up to page 17. Just cool the jets i reckon

Seems to have good penetration and can hit targets (admittedly only from highlights video) the knock on his kicking is from the RMC site where they said he can waver when kicking on the run.

I’ll wait to see how his kicking looks during the game rather than write him off before he’s even kicked a ball in anger for the club.

I’m guessing IF he plays , he plays Kmacs defensive wing role . Probably the most thankless role in AFL , averaging 14+ km a game, and you’re not often in the thick of the action.
We need this type of player, obviously would be great to have a winger with elite endurance and good footskills, but that type is going to play the attacking side of the ground.
