To be honest, weeding out people with conflicts of interest must be seen as a positive, as
the ADRV panel doesn't want to risk a mis-trial of sorts.
I think this shows that the process is probably not corrupted.

If they threw Essendone*/Dank/AFL people on the panel and left them there it would be somewhat of a worry.

Whoa... the wheels are starting to come off over at bummer land

Jab Watson says stepladder and Bomber are ok
ESSENDON skipper Jobe Watson yesterday played down suggestions of any rift between coach Mark Thompson and key forward Jake Carlisle.

Asked if there was tension between Carlisle and Thompson, he replied: “It would be surprising. If you brought up tension every time a player had an argument with the coach then no-one would be employed.’’

Watson acknowledged that Carlisle, a proven defender who has been asked to play as a forward and makeshift ruckman this season, had struggled this season, but backed him to turn it around against Collingwood on Friday afternoon.

Sounds like someone knows that he has a show cause letter in the future and is starting to shit himself over the supplements scandal and is blaming the person who introduced Tird to the weapon and Dank.

Carlisle has a point.

He's been robbed of his rather reasonable rise as a key defender because Hurley, despite being an abject failure as a forward, is some sort of protected species down at Bomber land. As a result, Carlisle has to make way for someone who is one of the weakest links in the team because he couldn't do anything useful where he was deployed. Carlisle was in AA contention until he lost the plot against Franklin last year, but he was still quite reasonable back there.

I'd be pissed, too, having your career killed because of a useless protected species in the team.

They also have Fletcher in defence who generally does not play on the best forward, so Hurley will be found out if he is getting beaten. Fletcher is usually moved forward when he is getting beaten and he rarely gets moved onto the opposition forwards who are dominating, so there will be no chop out for Hurley there.

EssADA* have a few Koala's in the club (including their suspended coach).

Essendon* chairman Paul Little says self reporting was the problem. Not the illicit drugs; not trying to cheating; not hiring dodgy Dank; not letting the megalomaniac Hird run amok.
Clearly they are moving forward responsibly.
Just softening the Essendope faithful up for the imminent shitstorm, with the ADRV now ready to deal with Dank. As soon as Dank is hit with an infraction it becomes official that the club cheated & then the dominoes start to fall. Little can then proclaim that none of it would have happened if Evans & Co hadn't decided to self report (they believe they self reported, when really they had no other option, otherwise ASADA were going to go after them, minus any intervention from the AFL).

Little knows what's coming & is very keen to distance himself from any responsibility for the fallout.

I love how Dank still reckons that he will take this to the supreme court if he gets pinged.

If he gets put on the register with the ADRVP, it's on him to provide the proof that what he did didnt contravene the ASADA rules governing doping in sports. Which means that he would have to produce documentation what was given to players and/or staff at Essendon*

Amazing lance Armstrong says he still Tour De France winner and Little says their mistake was self reporting. OMG
Self reporting was a massive free kick for them. It bought the time for them to misplace the records and establish the notion of a program run by rogue elements who did not record what they were doing. Which has held fast ever since thanks to a compliant media and a self serving afl but ASADA would not buy it any more than anyone else with a double digit IQ.

They have held off the inevitable for a long time because of Vlads nod and wink but they can't do it forever.

So true.
Carlisle was beaten by his coach and performed accordingly.
I know that Mick is tinkering, but Bomber cost them today with his media treatment of a ripping young player.
Should we have a crack at Carlisle under their noses??!!
This should be in trade etc thread!.

Once again you make a very good point Dram.

It may be difficult for Dank to produce documents because hasn't he already given ASADA a statutory declaration that he doesn't have any!

I can hardly wait for the inevitable bans.
