This saga still has more legs than a centipede. Will be a w hole heap more money leaving Windy Hill yet. Trouble is the AFL will start dropping cash in their begging bowl. Never have proven cheats been afforded so much slack. The club has paid a price to be sure but the fact that they have not been done for doping and that only the overseas media has seen fit to call them out as dopers sucks. They are a drug cheating club and their players liars and cheats. The pricks should have it branded on their foreheads.

Just letting everyone know that I have chosen the following path with respect to my AFL Membership in protesting to the AFL following their extremely lenient approach after the CAS rulings.

I wrote to the AFL requesting to go on Absentee Membership for season 2016, for reason of conscientious objection to their lenient treatment of Essendon following the CAS rulings, I further asked that because I had a conscientious objection I not be charged the usual $158 fee for Absentee Membership.

My request was granted.;)

Have to say the egg will really hit the AFL's face on ANZAC day, and it will be an ostrich egg.

They really need to rethink the MCG game now that (a) the Bombers have an indelible stain on their brand and (b) it will be a one-sided match with a certain outcome. Should be reserved for the previous year's grand finalists each year I reckon. That way you are pretty sure to get a good competitive game with a bit of feeling.

Now, when is Jobe going to do the right thing and hand over that Charlie? With a heartfelt apology to the players it really belonged to.

I am pretty sure a poster here indicated the RSL has indicated their ongoing support for the drug cheats participating in the ANZAC Day game. Their suggestion was that Australian values dictate that you help a mate when they're down, not turn your back on them - even when they are convicted criminals, doping cheats and liars. Obviously traits our poor diggers fought and sacrificed for to help honour them on the day we remember them.

Onya RSL, make sure you catch up with jobe as well on the day. I hear you can have a beer with him...

And yet when I wanna shoot up in my local RSL dunnies, they have the nerve to kick me out.

very roughly:

  • Jamar <- BellChambers
  • Colyer <- Stokes
  • Dea <- Hibberd
  • Crowley <- Hocking
  • Polkinghorne <-Heppell
  • Kelly <- Stanton
  • Simpkin <- Howlett
With Watson, Myers, Pears, Hurley, Hooker out too, the replacements are a little on the short side.

They've barely done a pre-season together, most of them have been out of the AFL system for a year or so, and are not going to be young and enthusiastic. I don't know why people are saying they're like what GWS was going to be in their first season. At least the GWS players had a full preseason together and had something to play for. Do we really expect someone like Kelly to put their body on the line for a club like this? Most of them aren't really going to be passionate, they'll just go through the motions. They'll be more injury prone too.
