So apparently Jamar was offered more $ to play at Port to replace Paddy however, Port, Dogs and Dees can not contract players until the ******* *FC have picked up all their fill ins first... Up Yours AFL, the greatest game in the land run by a pack of baboons.
Jamar could easily have just said no to the Bombers and signed with Port later.

I call shenanigans

Different rules for the other 4 clubs.

The Power want to replace Angus Monfries and Patrick Ryder, the Saints will be without Jake Carlisle and the Western Bulldogs have lost Stewart Crameri from their AFL side, and Brent Prismall from their VFL side. The Demons have lost Jake Melksham.

Many in the industry have questioned why the Bombers were allowed to sign top-up talent, with former Demon Mark Jamar the latest on Tuesday, while those clubs who recruited former Bombers were not.

Jamar will be thinking long term, he already has a coaching job at Essendon and if he packs up and heads to Adelaide for 1 season and potentially playing 5-10 games if he is lucky

or he could stay put, not have to move his family and once this season is out of the way continue his coaching job at Essendon.

Many in the industry obviously can't understand the difference between covering for 1-2 players vs covering for 12. It's really not that hard to understand.
Personally, if it was Carlton that was affected by having 1-2 players out, I would hope that they would give the opportunities to somebody already on our list.
If I was them I wouldn't worry about top up players. I would approach the AFL about being able to use ANY of your rookies without having to nominate one or two. That way they can all get a few games each if they are up to it and could be rotated on a weekly basis or given a rest if they can't cope with more than 4-6 weeks at a time in the big league.

Yes and No.
Yes, if the player is a utility and can be replaced quite easily by a rookie or list player.
No, If the player is a ruckman and your rookies are not up to rucking.

I'm just over *FC being treated with kids gloves after throwing the whole game into crap for the last 3 years and it is everyone else fault except for theirs.

Difference is * will have a bigger list to choose from than Port and they will have access to mature bodies, not just rookies who may not be up to the pace of a full season.

AFL should be holding another draft of eligible and interested players and all effected clubs have draft positions drawn at random and pick players from the available pool in that order.

Jamar said on SEN that he wasn't sure what was going on with Port. He wanted to play AFL again and he didn't want to miss out on that chance. He also said he and his wife are expecting their first child and prefered to stay in Melbourne.

Group of up to 15 banned Bombers consider split ahead of compo bid

A group of up to 15 members of the banned Essendon 34 are considering breaking away from the AFL Players Association, and fighting their personal compensation claims against the Bombers through independent lawyers.

It shapes as the first major split among the former and current Bombers throughout the injection scandal, with some players understood to be shattered they were suspended for a year despite the confidence of others that they would not be found guilty of being administered a banned drug.

If you want a good laugh read Slobbo's latest "adoration" column explaining why Jobe should keep his Brownlow.

He doesn't seem to understand that even if he thinks Jobe is "respected" and was "duped" - Jobe took performance enhancing drugs.

IIRC - Jobe scored votes in 12 of first 13 games in 2012 while juiced up by Dank.

Like the rest of the list he fell in a hole when the injections stopped.

Sure can't keep a Brownlow when proven you had PED's in your system.

I don't know what Slobbo is on but surely alcohol can't make you that stupid.

Right.... So Port couldn't have offered him more.

What 'bout Trentie C? Does he get a medal?
I hope that Trent and Sam are awarded the medal after the drug cheat has it taken off him. I really can't see much difference to a player that gets suspended during the year and not being eligible. Only difference is that this one is retrospective.

Whatever happens the 2012 medal will always be tainted because of the drug cheats.
