Yes he can do the lock down thing, but it might be underselling him perhaps. With his hardness and running ability, and being pretty clean, he could be a Gaff type winger. That's a stretch perhaps, but he is still so young.

Spot on. A modern day wingman is fast, tall, mobile and has excellent kicking skills (or has at least 2 of those attributes). Jack Graham is slow-ish, short-ish, somewhat clunky in his movement and has ok kicking skills.

I think Jack will cement his spot in our side as a tagger and inside mid. He has very similar attributes to Ed Curnow and I think he will develop in a very similar manner. Curnow went from averaging 10-15 disposals in his first 3 years, finding his feet, to 20-ish in his next few as he became more of a tagger, to 25-ish in recent years as he alternates between tagging and playing as a pure inside mid.

Yes I get that a bit, but to me the wing these days can be highly combative, MacIntosh for example, Ellis is the opposite. Probably not quick enough, but is Gaff quick.
I think Graham will struggle with Martin, Prestia, Cotchin, Ross, Lambert, possibly Pickett and a few quick youngsters like Stack/Bolton/Turner coming through. So will need to work on his outside game.
Maybe the tagging roll as Rancid says, but I'm not a fan of taggers, and his lack of pace there may also be an issue.

Unless Hardwick and co change their game plan, we don’t put on hard tags. But regardless of this there’s definitely a place for defensive midfielders they allow Dusty and co to be ultra attacking.
Even when Ross returns and Pickett possibly comes in I reckon Graham stays.

I’d much prefer to see midfield strength at the expense of so many small forwards. You know guys like Sheds Lambert Stack are multi skilled and can perform just as well as George/ Butts/Rioli up forward

I'm pretty sure he played on Swallow, one of their best players and shut him down yesterday. IMO he is a important player for us going forward. Especially come finals time. I like what he brings to the team overall.

Swallow had 30 touches and was there best player...... I’d say it was an ordinary job.
Ross is better and has so much more upside.

On the improve is jack , has worked on his craft and got moving . Was critical in the past that he played slow , not hitting the ball whilst motoring . Some early signs that he’s gonna make a long term senior player , certainly going in right direction , genuine tests to come soon enough where we need our midfield to stand tall

Fair enough mate. I just didn't think he impacted the game like he can. I thought Graham did a great job on him.

I really like Ross as well mate. We'll have to wait and see. He's only had limited game time so far but from what I've seen he is a really promising player.

Yes he is a bit limited but he is young. He does have gut running power though and hits hard. He will improve, but he is also borderline best 22.

Ross is a Selwood type, inside and out. Graham can also play that roll, but not a natural high possession player. Will be interesting to see if he adds more to his game.

I'm the same, still young, can't fault his effort but haven't seen a left side or a strong marking/tight 2 way tagging component to his game yet and about 52 metres on his right hoof might be about his best as with lambert kicks, but kane has that uncanny nous of getting to the right spots and kicking little bags of 2 and 3 goals regularly and linking up beautifully.
