I am so happy with the way Graham is going.
He is doing some very classy things and showing great leadership as well as complimenting our other players magnificently
He has been really impressive with his leadership and maturity for a kid so young
Would not surprise me at all if he is our next captain if trent plays until end of 2022

2016 hell of a draft
Was massive for us and the reason we started winning the ball out of middle after we couldn't get near it for the last 10 and first 10 minutes of the third and fourth quarter.
Looked at his stats to 3/4 time and he had 0 tackles and led the team with 21 pressure acts. Finished the game with 5 tackles and 33 pressure acts after going on ball for Cotchin 10 minutes into the last and finished with 5 tackles and honestly could have been higher but tackles are only recorded based on their effectiveness, which doesn't always paint the full picture.

If he was all you got from the draft of any use, you would still be deliriously happy. But he wasn’t….Of course after a 3rd round upgrade courtesy of the always accommodating Geelong Cats Football and Lawn Bowls Club Proprietary Limited we decide to spend pick 53 on the subject of this thread, one Mr Jack Graham.

Naturally then with pick 72 we take all round good guy and very handy backline depth whose success or otherwise is as yet not fully determined, Ryan Garthwaite. Good pick at that number, no doubt, really good pick. Handy addition to the draft, you can never have too many relief backmen. His greatest moment so far has been in single handedly boosting the value of Jeremy Cameron in terms of both trade and salary, much to the chagrin of our arch finals victims, the aforementioned Geelong Cats Football Club. Garthwaite’s performance cost the hapless Cats the best part of 3 first rounders, and a mountain of cash.

At our selection 6 in what is known as the 2017 Rookie Draft - which oddly enough took place in 2016, the year we are seeking to examine here - that humble little inclusive organisation that goes by the name of the Richmond Tigers Football Club took………..one Tyson Stengle. So what? Well he wore the Tiger colours with perfect distinction across his 2 game career, before adding the admirable touch of disgracing the Adelaide Crows Football Club in his 14 game career there, after he was traded in return for extraordinarily valuable compensation, namely, selection 68 in the 2018 AFL draft. Why was that pick so valuable you ask? Well…..
….after other clubs used prior selections for Academy and father-son selection points in the draft, the pick in question was elevated to pick 62. At pick 62 we took, to our eternal satisfaction, one of the greatest character assessors and visionaries of the all time collective AFL playing stock, Luke English, out of the Perth Demons Football Club. Now young Mr English never made his AFL debut for the august institution that is the Richmond Football Club and was rather sadly delisted after the 2020 season.

He did, however, in his time at the club, make the club aware of the fine character of a certain gentleman who goes by the name of Mr Sydney Stack, with whom he had shared a change room at the Perth Demons Football Club. The Tigers duly snapped up the said footballer, Stack, as a free addition to the list, narrowly beating out serial draft thwarting fantasiser Stephen “SOS” Silvagni, then List Boss of the Carlton Blues Football Club. Now we all know that our dearly beloved Sydney burst onto the scene in early 2019 with a string of barely believable performances. It was these same performances which whilst capturing the imagination of the whole footballing eco-system, also assisted the club to several crucial wins in terms of securing a top four berth for the finals. This, in turn, was vital in securing the club’s 14th Premiership that year. That Stack, at 18 years of age, also physically destroyed Demon bully boy and wannabe tough guy Jack Viney in the process only adds to the sense of having scammed the 2016 draft completely. But did you know….
It was the same Sydney Stack who stepped in to save the life of another highly prized Tiger player, a Mr Callum Coleman-Jones, one fateful night in Brisbane 2020, when the latter was under enemy attack. And given the flourishing form young Coleman-Jones is currently exhibiting, we should all be very grateful.

I think non-Tigers supporters finally understood last night that no, he's not a plodder, he basically ran down/heavily pressured Hind (considered lightning quick) multiple times last night.
And how good is his kicking!? So underrated, he's going to be very important for us when heaven forbid Cotch, Prestia and Dusty bid us farewell.

Only complaint I have about Graham is I think we need to play him in the middle and let him get it 30 times like he did in round 1. His kicking is absolutely quality.
