Does RichmondOfficial read all these threads? Cause I've had it, we pay the wages of everyone down at the club, it's about time we got an explanation as to why the likes of McBean and Elton don't even get NAB cup games. Has there even been any official statement on McKenzie's troubles? Or are we just to be satisfied with what we hear from insiders on here?

The club needs to be accountable to its paymasters (i.e. us, or at least the paying members of us), if the guys we fund to be out there aren't getting picked, when the guys who do get picked aren't up to scratch, let's hear why. And if it's something personal then for chrissakes get over it.
*edit, I mean personal between coach and player, not re. why McKenzie needs some time off
Do politicians care what we think? what makes you think the rfc gaf?

It's none of our ****ing business. The kid just so happens to be good at football, that doesn't mean his private life should be splashed all over social media. Get a grip dude and respect people's and the clubs right to privacy. The club doesn't owe you shit!

The club owes us it's existence, if only it was some self-funded entity!! Think of all the revenue streams in the AFL, they all lead back to the fans (or pokie addicts, I grant you that!).

Now when was the last time you had a paying job where you weren't accountable to the pay-master? And if so, where do I sign up?

As I made especially clear with my edit, I don't want to know any personal details of any player. But I would like to see statements from the club such 'player x has taken time off for personal reasons' or 'player y who is top goal kicker in the VFL can't even get a NAB cup game because...'

Hope that makes it clearer for you.

Firstly we don't pay the clubs wages. Every AFL club has multiple key stakeholders, the biggest of which is sponsers.

But even so, the club are accountable. Uts what the AGM is for.

Furthermore you are one member/ fan. I am another and i dont think the club should make known that information. So who is right?

Lastly, the players are accountable to performance to their pay-master. Their pay-master is the club. If they don't perform they get delisted or traded. As it works in the real world. I assume your business doesn't email all of your colleagues and businesses saying 'Johnny didn't get this major project over Steve because we have been concerned about his performances over the last two weeks' which is on par for what you are suggesting.

Alright alright agree to disagree, but bottom line does anyone know why Beanster isn't playing (official on-record from the club), even in NAB cup games?

If not, what mediums are available for us to ask the club 'why isn't Beanster getting a run even in warmup games?'

No, but at a guess I'd say it's "easy does it" after watching the tragedy of Griff unfold. All the physical traits to become a superstar and was crushed by injuries and inconsistent game-time and positioning.
A kid as light and young as Liam could have been completely smashed. I would imagine RFC always knew they were going to play the long game with him.. which must be hard as he's mates with the latest Daniher who just appeared to grow at a freakish rate (not suggesting anything untoward).
I remember hearing something about the coaches being frustrated he was not playing the style more suited to his body/height, but it was on here, so it's probably complete bollocks.

It's the last bit I'm sick of, having to rely on whispers here for info. Good that Liam is protected early but Chol couldn't be heavier and played every NAB game, and did rucking duties.

Didn't know about the Daniher angle, see if Liam can get Joe over for a coffee and chat with Dimma :)

The thing that liam not playing is because he doesn't chase and they are working him but i don't think it sinks in. It's either laziness just can't comprehend or he cbf. I hope that addresses your question.

I've seen him a couple of times now this year, including last Saturday, and got to be honest, I know he kicked 5 .... in a team that won by 52 points - but he didn't really stand out much and I definatley for one would want to see him back up this week and next with 3-4 a game again before considered for senior duties. There still isn't a lot of intensity and talk in his game .... and I think long term Chol will be better ....

I reckon the Bean is a chance to walk at the end of the year and who could blame him. With the golden boy Vickery getting a regular game regardless of performance (or lack of it), McBean would regard his chances of getting a game as remote. IMO can't play both of them.
If he walks and becomes a good player at another club, that's on the head of one very stubborn man (who we are no longer bagging).

This post is ridiculous. Bean was VERY dominant last Saturday.

I was at the reserves last week. Mcbean was a stand out. I tell you 1 thing. Hampson is a liability. Put tv in the ruck and put bean at ff for a few weeks. Then once mcbean finds his feet perhaps tv will try work harder

The coaching staff were very happy with how he played, but I think he'll need to back it up for at least another week before they put him in.

From everything I heard about the Bean over preseason, the club rate his talent, but not his work ethic or attitude. Unless/until he improves those, he won't get a game regardless of how many goals he kicks. He may well have improved it and be ready, but only the coaching staff know that. His form is good enough to warrant selection, it just depends if his attitude is.

Attitude thing might be an issue, but if that's the case same rule should apply to others.
I've been quite surprised about how vocal the club and coaches have been about Mcbeans intensity but not a word said about Vickery's total lack of intensity the other night.
Same rule should apply to everyone imo

Attitude should be reflected in performance don't you think?

28 goals in his last 8 games and two contested marks a game over that period indicates his attitude and work rate is OK seeing he plays in a pretty crap VFL side.

What about 123 goals in 47 games or a 17 possession, 5 goal, 8 mark game last week.

The people with the attitude problem are the Richmond coaches and selectors.

You contribute money to the club under the assumption that board members are capable of making decisions. You don't pay for them to make the decisions you want.

Now, this thread is for discussing McBean, you are off topic and derailing the thread so please take it elsewhere.

I think it is more likely that Daniher will get McBean over for a coffee and chat with Worsfold. Would fill a need at Essendon.

Funnily enough, he would probably fill a need for us too lol
