So with the season shot, we need to play him to see what we have got. We give him the chance to show something. At least we'll know either way. Not sure he can be any worse than Griffiths.

THIS is the very attitude that has us where we are right now ... better than probably Essendon and Brisbane.

So you're obviously happy it's taken four years to arrive at this conclusion without us ever giving him a chance.

Further more i am still gobsmacked that at no stage has the club even tried to play/develop him as a defender. A role that was the main catalyst for his good form in his draft year. He looked a million dollars playing kpd as an 18 yo.

I keep hearing he is lazy, he doesnt work hard enough he has defensive problems, he cant mark, is not strong enough in the air and a few other things. well playing a kpd role means all of these things must improve and actually work to his benefit. You want to turn him around and improve the things he does not do, well play him in defense and make him accountable.

Also McBean is one of three 200cm blokes who were earmarked for the fwd/ruck role with Vickery and Griffiths. Why would you not even attempt to play the one who showed the most in defence in defence. THere was never any way we would play all three in the same fwd line and for what ever reasons McBean was behind Vickery and Griffiths in the pecking order when it came to playing fwd.
It has been utter stupidity and has shown a total lack of list management and development. Last time i looked our kpd stocks were abysmal.Yet here we have an athletic quick 200cm player who probably played his best footy in defense and we cant even try him in the role.FMD how poor has things been at this club.

I don't know how McBean will translate to AFL. But to translate he needs a season playing firsts. We'll see if he get s agame this weekend. If so I hope he rips it up. Just because.

To be fair.. two of those ruck forwards will 100% not be on the list come end of the year. Griff and bean.

We need to draft a pure forward. Similar to mckenzie if one is available.

Griffiths is in career best form, if it continues no doubt he'll be on the list.

Our best bet IMO is to let Vickery walk if it's for an end of first round pick or similar value trade.

i lol'd. we have jack (star), vickery (meh) and griffiths (dud), along with mcbean (dud) elton (kpb dud) and mckenzie (obvious issues). we could fairly cut all but jack at the end of the year. only brisbane and carlton have worse kpf depth than us. We also have no depth in the ruck or kpb, and its amazing that we win a game at all. wallace got crap about loving flankers but we still drafted more kpp under him than under hardwick.

Yea but we wont let vickery walk.
Griffs in his best for yes, but his impact is still negligible imo. He played his best game and hasnt yet built upon than or kicked multiple goals since.

Completely agree but no one is going to pay him 600K+
Fremantle won't because they're trying to offload their own Free Agents (mainly Mayne) for picks and if they pick one up it lowers what they'll get
