Does RichmondOfficial read all these threads? Cause I've had it, we pay the wages of everyone down at the club, it's about time we got an explanation as to why the likes of McBean and Elton don't even get NAB cup games. Has there even been any official statement on McKenzie's troubles? Or are we just to be satisfied with what we hear from insiders on here?

The club needs to be accountable to its paymasters (i.e. us, or at least the paying members of us), if the guys we fund to be out there aren't getting picked, when the guys who do get picked aren't up to scratch, let's hear why. And if it's something personal then for chrissakes get over it.
*edit, I mean personal between coach and player, not re. why McKenzie needs some time off

I do, and fair enough, we are forever appreciative of the financial support of our members.

Every week our VFL coach provides an update on every player who played, if a player is lucky enough to play seniors, their performance is out there for everyone to see and judge for themselves. It can be a cop out, but team selection between both levels is not my area and one that I believe can generally be addressed in press conferences with the coach, given the media indeed ask those question. Not sure that covers entirely what you were after though.

Perform like that again and he will get a look in.

You make it sound like this performance is a one off. He has been one of our most consistent player at VFL the last couple years. Has bags of goals. Never got a look in even with poor form/injures of others.

So no, I doubt if he has another big game he will get a look in. He's Hardwick's anti-Morris (a guy who doesn't have to do anything to get a game) while holds McBean to ridiculous standards.

There are things he needs to do to get games we simply dont know. Id hazard a guess a lot that has to do with his attitude.

Then theres the fact we simply dont play well with three talls.
Lennon is in. Either 3rd tall or hb who knows.
Two rucks are currently preferred
Vickery is a lot better than him as a 2nd forward

Not on 2016 form......

Not on 2016 form......
How many shots on goal has he had? How many goals? One game vs a probable top 4 side on their home deck where he was played ruck due to injuries and was well held by a good defence. His first 3 rounds carried on from last year so yes, on 2016 form he is still well and truly our 2nd best key forward, by a long way.

Exactly. Say what you want about Vickery, he has still kicked 7 goals this year. That's just under 2 a game. He is doing his job.

Not on 2015 form or even before . Vickery's weaknessess have always been there he has always mostly performed at a borderline standard at afl level apart from a few short periods.

People will refute it but Tyrone has always been soft when it comes to physical contests. He has always lacked defensively he has always been super inconsistent, he has always played scared when in the ruck.
He will at some stage probably this year put together 4 or 5 very passable games and everyone will fall for it again.
He kicks goals and this saves his arse. sometimes all forwards need to get a few cheapies just to make a contribution but cheapies for Vickery is his bread and butter he fails so badly in the areas that should be his bread and butter.
People can scoff but imo we actually got more out of Brad Miller than we do Vickery.

Bullshit if his only output is goals he needs to be kicking a minimum of 4 a week. You'll say how many forwards kick 80 plus goals a year but how many forwards only kick goals ? If he is a sole forward based solely on kicking goals he needs to be kicking a minimum of 15% of our score on average.

There is no guarantee that McBean will even match Vickery's output at AFL level. I'd rather stick to the devil we know right now whilst the season is still alive somewhat than put a raw, 2 game player in as a second key forward when our season hangs in the balance. Right now, Vickery is more important to our season getting back on track than McBean. If we are no chance of making finals, pump as many games into McBean as possible, but replacing Vickery with McBean at this point is stupid.

esp considering in the 2 games McBean did play last yr he looked as tho he's still not ready

That is the exact problem with the club currently , sit on hands and tolerate the under performance of high draft picks in hope they come good . Everyone has seen what Vickery has to offer, he has shown nothing to suggest he will make a positive contribution to alter the clubs current form. He will rely on others and ride on their performances.
I do find it funny you suggest the devil you know is better than the one you don't. Unless you have the flag in the bag you need to look for ways to improve, the club and Vickery are not playing well enough to rest on what is being delivered.

Totally wrong. He is doing just one part of his job. Besides of those seven goals i would confidently say, it would not have mattered who we played in his place they would have got at least 4 of them.
To just talk about goals is to totally ignore what many are complaining about in Vickery's game.

That is such a good post mate. The devil we know sums this club up to a tee under Hardwick.
People dont get it it the season is shot even if we make the 8. The list tells us this. We have to change personel if sometime in the near future a premiership is the goal.
Surely that is the biggest single over riding point that has to be acknowledged. People have to stop kidding themselves, we don't have a good list and the only way to improve is thru change.
IMO Vickery has shown time and time again he is not the way forward. He is in fact a player we should be able to easily upgrade on if we have half an idea of what we are doing. He is in fact a big part of this clubs problems.

Anyone know why McBean bothers to show up to training and game day? Honestly don't see any reason for him to, given the way Dimma treats him. Similar could be said for his treatment of a few other players.

The sooner we **** him off the sooner this club move forward. w***er.

Well that was the eighth time he's kicked 5 or more goals in a VFL match. How many more times will he need to do that before he gets a chance?

Also he has kicked 5 goals in 4 of his his last 8 games.
