Big wraps on this guy. Happy we took a state league mature age player to add some depth.

He is very good, he's somewhat similar to Langdon. I was hoping the pies would take him and I dont often hope we take players from our VFL team

Good to pick up someone who could come straight in if required. Takes a good grab and looks to have decent skills.

After giving you Harry O'brien this is our peace offering. Would have played games with us this year if we could pick him. Looks a good player and hope he does well for you. Good depth player behind Hibberd, Lever etc. I'm disappointed we rookied Oxley last year instead of giving him the rookie spot.

7 marks a game is what Jeremy McGovern gets in the AFL. Not suggesting they are the same player but those are good raw statistics.

    Howe
    McGovern
    Laird
    Stewart
    Sicily
    Jonas
    Hibberd
    Grimes
    Smith
    Rampe
    Wood
    Barass

These guys were all unheralded pick ups and mostly rookies. There's definently scope for a gem in these types

The latest Taylor VFL selection, he’s got good form in this area so I’ll be watching with interest.

Knightmare from the DT board had this to say.

Happy to get Marty Hore as a rookie.

Arguably the best general defender outside the AFL, Collingwood's VFL player Marty Hore is a class above. He possesses a reliable left foot and a kicking efficiency of 79 percent. His intercept marking and contested marking are further strengths, with five games including 10 or more marks and an average of two contested marks per game. The 189cm, 22-year-old is an ideal list addition for any club short one quality defender and is good enough to slip into a best 22 and hold his spot.

Dare I say, he may be better than Quaynor. Different game. Not as athlete or as strong of a physical profile but a far better rebounder/intercepter/kick.

    Competing with Joel Smith potentially.

Will be fascinating - Smith has come back in ripping shape and came third in the 3km time trial on day one I believe.

Could be a real Smokey for round 1. Ranked 1 in effective kicks in VFL. 2 for intercept marks and possessions. If Lever isn’t back in early I’d say he’ll be a very good chance of games.

I love the fact that over the last couple of draft periods we have picked up mature aged kids, that have VFL exp. (See VFL Premiership player Mitch Hannan)
    I would give Hore #23

Yep, let’s hope Hore follows in Hannan and Fritchs footsteps and is able to make the transition into senior level at AFL.
