If there's truth to the idea that he doesn't want to be here, get what we can for him.
I don't really subscribe to that.
If he wanted to go he could have gone previously when Freo threw significant money at him last time. Money that it was reported on here that he found embarassing in the amount overs it was.
There seems to be a bit of panic in this thread, panic that I don't really understand.
If he has been unhappy forever why would he have re-signed previously when there was a significant cash offer on the table? Because trade couldn't be arranged? last year we took pick 25 for the guy who ran third in our BnF if Aaron wanted out he would have gotten it last time.
To allow him out of his contract (which is what we'd need to do) in order to let him leave, would be a sell low situation.
He was injured for much of last year, he's coming back from a shoulder reco and seems to be getting himself into form in the twos.
Unless we use him as part of a package that gets us some legitimate high end midfield talent Hannerbury, Treloar someone of that ilk, we have a conversation that runs something like this:
"Aaron, while we empathise that there is offers for your services, you are currently contracted. For us to release you from your contract it needs to significantly benefit the North Melbourne football club. Right now the trade offers don't do that, therefore you are a required player."
