I was skeptical at first because every week Lachie failed to kick 8 goals, BF would be screaming for Black to get a chance.

Don't mind admitting I was wrong. This kid can seriously play. :thumbsu:

People seem to have omitted from memory that he had actually improved in this area before getting injured. Was starting to take some contested marks every game.
Agreed. Also he can kick a 50 metre goal, these are priceless. On reflection his kicking was poor the game before he went out of the side injured, so was probably carrying that injury but it seemed to take a while to be diagnosed.

Yeh, he was starting to have real presence about him. It reinforced why his contested marking was actually one of the key reasons he was drafted.

I like what he brings to the forward line, i think he straightens us up, and commands the ball. He has always been good at bringing it to ground if he doesnt mark it regardless which is always a positive. It is absurd that we have an ageing ff, and are talking about a 24 yr old who has shown some great signs at afl level as trade bait.

Glad I'm not the only one who remembered that. Think he took 2 overhead marks in a small pack against Sydney. More confidence and experience and Taz will be our FF IMO.

Is Rohan Connolly a NM supporter? He always seems to write pretty fair, unbiased articles about us.

I guess I'm just not used to it.

Don't believe so, but he's pretty vocal on the point that he doesn't like the demeaning of smaller clubs based on nonsense about crowds and money.

Even more surprising I believe he's actually a scum (*Essendon) supporter.

Thanks for replying DP. I don't like the demeaning of smaller clubs based on nonsense about crowds and money either.

Unbelievable. A rational and coherent Bummers supporter. I assumed such a creature did not exist in the wild.

No, he's just a good journalist. He can be equally critical of North at the same time. And there are times when it's warranted. But Blacky is a good looking bloke and has now kicked a few so the media will become seagulls.
