There can be only one...
It is no surprise really. He was a pretty obvious talent even as a kid, he just needed his body to fill out and get a good run with not getting injured.

Nobody that some other club has got penned as the replacement for Pav is going to sit back and let someone else have that, not even at a high price. You don't let those kind of players go.

He may never live up to the expectation but his foundations are very good. We wouldn't even entertain trading him unless he said he wanted to leave, and even then his asking price would be probably beyond what Freo could afford or willing to part with. If he was going to leave, he would likely end up at a spanker down near the bottom who either have the currency or the early psd pick.

Delaney/Greenwood and Kennedy. Probably more likely Greenwood than Keys because I suspect cLp has some sort of Bees connection.

That dockers wanker mentioning Walters as the best small forward...   Lindsay Thomas says hi!
We have the best in the comp anyway with boomer.

I don't think I can take another week of west Australian supporters after the west coast debacle. If freo got black I'd give up footy

I'm sure I'm not the only one, I just read that generic crap email the club sends out, this week its Blacky telling us how disappointed he and the team are.

He goes on about Zac ( worst footballer ever) Dawson was in his face, but does not say why he did not whack him or muscle him off???

Very alarming is the comments about GWS this week already sounds like excuses to me..

Why do we not get the match commitee telling us why we can't kick goals all of a sudden.

I know we're all hanging for some fire and brimstone, and some for explanations and answers, but Blacky's hardly a media veteran.

As for the explanations, I'm not a big one for words after we've kicked 7 goals in 7 quarters. I want actions!

I agree Twink, but Black did not write this email, this is club/media generated, and I for one am very concerned about the GWS comments....

I for one am very concerned about the GWS comments....
"Sunday will mark my 13th AFL match and we will come up against the young Giants. They are an energetic outfit that thrives on momentum. Against Geelong, they were tied at three-quarter time and looked a chance to win. It’s crucial that we get a good start on Sunday and snuff out their hopes early."

I'm not. Showing respect for the opposition, as we should, and saying we want to bury them early. I'm ok with that mate. I hope we do bury them early and cremate them by halftime.

showing respect is one thing I agree, a player commenting on zac dawson basically pushing him around and he did nothing actually amazes me.....pathetic nothing more, he should be telling us that he did'nt like it and flattened him...
I read between the lines of the GWS comment, well if they got that close to geelong then they are a major chance of rolling us....weak as piss.

I saw the email and actually read it this week.

It certainly didn't make my dick hard.

Pretty much admitted that Fremantle are better than us, Ross Lyon is a great coach and we gave up hope after the Dockers put on 2 in-a-row from centre clearances ...

Like I said, really didn't inspire me.

We, as a club, can't even get fired up writing an email. Hope we can get enthusiastic for more than 1 or 2 qtrs of football.

"Thanks for supporting us" ...

I am really not sure what people expect from these emails?

I signed my son up to them because I assumed that they are intended for kids.

When the wheel turns and we are winning, (it happens footy is cyclical) will people be fawning over the emails that are sent out then to revel in victory?

Unless you are on the fringe of the supporter base (ie not feverishly posting on an internet forum about the colour of Jack's jocks), or young and never seen success. I am not sure what the interest in the email would be.

Its some fairly loose analysis, a players perspective dipped in cliche' and some element of trying to make people feel good after a loss.

Lets not look to hard at it.

Wow the hate just continues on here unabated.

Maybe it's just me but I really like these emails and although not too expansive they seem to give a genuine view from a player's perspective re their high level thoughts on the win/loss. I'd not be surprised if the players write large chunks or all of these. Was in particular impressed with Spitta's straight down the line email after the Adelaide loss.

As I say it may just be me but from where I sit any chance to get a little closer to the players and what they are thinking is a plus. And it's unscripted - which is miles better than the banal interview questions the players are subjected to by the media which generally reveal nothing and are a total waste of time.

Time for a change i reckon, musings from the players are getting a little stale...

"Well it sure was great to have the boys back in the pristine conditions of Etihad on Sunday, & didn't it show! After packing the Omo Active last week which I always keep handy for those dirty, dirty outdoor games, I went back to the tried & trusted value of Surf Concentrate this week, Alpine Fresh this time. Reminds me of summer trip to Europe back in '78.....

Although I tried to stitch it back up, unfortunately Boomer's jumper was a throw-out after the Freo game so we had to get him a new one - one less dirty jumper to wash! I just wish those niggling boys would leave Boomer alone, he's 35 for goodness sake! I'm sure Ryan's mother was most embarrassed.

Anyway I can always tell how hard the boys work by the smell of their jumpers & I can tell you there was some serious BO after the GWS whitewash (hehe!), as usual none more so than Jack. Oh how he missed being back out with the boys. Well with only 1 uncovered game until August I'm certainly looking forward to taking it easy for a while on the laundry front, as are the boys I'm sure. That rain sure can be a distraction & they do become quite bashful at handover time if their jumper is all wet & grotty.

Bye for now,
Karen the Cleaner."

I'd give it two weeks before someone here calls out "Karen the Cleaner" as being full of shit and "costing us games" CBS, demanding one of The Peninsula Ladies take over the cleaning duties until a professional tough talking outsider can be found as a permanent replacement.
