Welcome to North Melbourne, Charlie Lazzaro.

With pick 36, North Melbourne has selected Charlie Lazzaro from the Geelong Falcons.

A consistent ball winner for the Falcons in his bottom aged year, Lazzaro averaged 20 disposals in eight matches.

Lazzaro is at his best around stoppages and winning contested ball, using his vision and clean hands to create for his teammates.

“Charlie is a really driven inside/outside midfielder who can also play forward," National Recruiting Manager, Mark Finnigan said.

“He has clean hands in the contest, carries the ball and had a really strong 2020 pre-season with the Falcons.”

36. Charlie Lazzaro
Recruited from: Geelong Falcons, NAB League / St Marys
Position: Small midfielder
Height: 179cm
Weight: 73kg
DOB: 25/03/02
Cal Twomey’s draft range: 30-6

Outstanding around stoppages and at winning contested ball, using his vision and clean hands to create for his teammates. Courageous and with a great work ethic he was a consistent ball winner for the Falcons in his bottom aged year averaging 20 disposals in eight matches. His agility tested in the rare category with his 7.98 seconds for the AFL Agility run in the Victorian preseason testing. Started the trials this year in great touch averaging 27.5 disposals,6 clearances and 8 tackles in 2 trials for the Geelong Falcons.

Interring on the coverage they mentioned a couple of schools played a match or two later on in 2020, he was the absolute standout. I’m onboard with this one

sounds like another quality person that will get every ounce out of himself. Good stats for under ager, but again, look at his legs, obvious strength translates to holding their position well in contested situations at ground level. Sounds like one who would have projected much higher as a top aged junior.

Can't say Id heard much but given his height and that he's considered a mid/small forward, I'd say they might have him pegged as a high pressure small forward. Zippy and agile and averaged over 4 tackles. His spot to earn might be high pressure forward that knows how to find the footy. Those 2 attributes go hand in hand now a days

Are we fielding a team of only midfielders.

Hadn’t heard of this guy.

Welcome to the nmfc and win flags
Can't be any worse than fielding a team of mid-fwds with poor endurance who can't get more than 15 touches a game, can it?
