Standout

Round 4, 2019 (versus St Kilda Saints): Scrimshaw realised a childhood team in round 1, playing for a team he barracked for as a boy. In round 4, Scrimshaw's talent and potential stood out as he collected a career high 23 disposals for Hawthorn across half-back and had eight marks in a promising display as the potential successor to the now departed Grant Birchall. Although Hawthorn lost, both coaches and supporters would have been encouraged by the game from Scrimshaw.

Shocker

Round 23, 2019 (versus West Coast Eagles): Having played nine of Hawthorn's first ten games for the season, Scrimshaw suffered an injury that kept him out until the final round of the campaign. It was a subdued return to action from Scrimshaw, having 14 disposals and two marks, but he played his part in Hawthorn's upset victory over the Eagles in Perth that knocked the Eagles out of top four and ultimately out of the race for the premiership.

His ability to read the ball in the air is outstanding and his willingness to take the game on is impressive. The sky is the limit for this kid and i really think he is going to make a lot of people that had already written him off look really stupid.

Injuries the only issue for him so far.

If he can get on top of those, he's got all the tools to be a really good AFL player.

His draft profile notes his ability to play all over the ground, I wonder if he'll be tried on a wing. His skills are outrageously good.
