“I didn’t expect it at all. It was pretty low key — and then it happened. I couldn’t believe it, it was an amazing feeling,” Lord said from IKON Park on Thursday.
“It’s been a bit of a whirlwind for the last 12 hours or so.

“After it happened, we went straight to the grandparents’ house and my mates came straight round, let themselves through the back gate and I got the shock of my life. It was very cool.”

Just on face value, if there's a current day player to compere him to, it'd be Taylor Adams. Not flashy, but tough and hard. Unheralded, but just gets the job done

Even a bit of a lookalike at a similar age.............well, I reckon he does anyway [emoji1787]

Was thinking the same thing. If he turns out that good I'd be wrapped.

I would be very surprised if he doesn't get converted into a pressure forward, at least in the short term.

ESPN's take on Cooper Lord in this vid - 7:40 mins in:

For those concerned that we picked up a slowish player, they say Cooper has that blend of speed and endurance in his arsenal.

Not familiar with their draft expert so don't know if his views hold much weight... but if true, a hard at it, speed/endurance 2-way runner, sounds like a very welcome addition to our list.
