Re: XX. Fraser McInnes (Yet to debut)

Just looking at some of the talls we've got recently, Darling/McInnes/Lycett/NN. They are all good in the air and at groundlevel, all are stronger than most talls in the defensive pressure/tackling department, and all are versatile and athletic.

I've got Darling and NN as future stars, and we'll be looking very good if the other two fulfill their ability. Kennedy not bad either.

Re: XX. Fraser McInnes (Yet to debut)

As the sponsor of Fraser McInnes will lay out his background

McInnes,is a key forward from Perth, has strong links to the club as a nephew of long-time assistant coach and inaugural squad member Robert Wiley and dual premiership player Michael Brennan as well as Michael`s son Jacob who is currently on the list.
By missing the U18 championships due to a ankle injury he has remained a very low key pick that has escaped the media /big footy hype he is described as being surprisingly mobile for a big frame and is able to play fwd /back and pinch hit in the ruck .

Fraser`s main strengths are his strong overhead marking and penetrating left foot ,when he plays fwd he demands the ball .Fraser also has good footy smarts in conjestion with intelligent handballs and taps on ...

to be continued .

Overall, Fraser's had a very encouraging NAB Cup, so far and put his hand up for selection in this week's GF.

Most recently, against the Saints, he played up forward and was largely overshadowed by Cox and Darling. Despite this, he continued to contest and bring the ball to ground as well as blocking for others in the marking contest. I'm sure the coaches would have been quite happy with his game.

He also went into the ruck at the emd of the match when Cox subbed off.

18/03/2012 WAFL round 1 - Perth v Claremont

McInnes courageously run back with the flight of the ball and copped quite a heavy knock.
He didn't play after quarter time and it was reported after the match that he suffered a heavy cork.

Showed great courage. :thumbsu:

Crowd were right behind him too, he's set to become a fan fave pretty quickly down at Lathlain.

Did well in the air again today, and kicked a couple against the Royals. A very promising lad, for sure!!!!
Should be ready to blossom in 2013.

Not really that big. McInnes is twice as good as both Lloyd and Lucas combined.

I didn't see the game, but his stats look pretty good. A well-rounded game.

WAFL Round 4 - Perth v East Perth
9 kicks 8 handballs 6 marks 5 tackles 2 goals 1 behind.

After the departure of tall forward Quinten Lynch to Collingwood, Worsfold said the club was working through options in attack for 2013, with Fraser McInnes to press his claims in the NAB Cup.

"We think he's going to be a really solid key forward," Worsfold said of the 19-year-old, who is entering his second season.
