Very hard for Shannon to have done any better today. Tredrea was too strong, and had great supply all day. But as you said, Shannon actually did beat him one on one on a couple of occasions, a sure sign he has improved this year as that wouldn't have happened in a month of Sundays in the past two years.
The Colbert-Lade move was risky, but I liked the fact we were taking the punt on us winning more of the midfield ball. Colbert was always going to be up against it if the ball went forward, and he was obviously outpointed a couple fo times early. That was reflective of how right his decision to retire was - you can't go into a season with a bloke whose only possible role is filling in the space as a 7th defender because he's too slow to go with smaller opponents and not strong enough to go with teh big guys.
