Clayton gone, if S Harvey and Watt were both off the list, how would this board continue? Thank God for Drew, they chorus.
Well there is always Picioane. A bit of Hamish bashing has started recently, which stunned most with even a fraction of a brain. Mick Stevens would cop more I suppose if it wasn't for his marvellous surname. So, there are still a few options about.

As for Watt leaving? Nothing more than second rate journalism. Yeah we 'could be' trading Wells, Archer, Harvey and our first round pick for Richard Cole too

Hey Harvey+Rawlings for Richard Cole huh. Heck we will throw in pick 13 to sweeten the deal! ;)

There can be only one...
I am annoyed we left so many contracts to this point of the year, you always get the wild speculation because we have players unsigned coming close to the trade period.

How good would it be to offload Watt.
He's been ok, butt...

I doubt he'll make it as a 3rd defender. His passing often puts teammates under pressure or he turns it over. He panics when he has to run with the ball and baulks physical contests. His marking is also average.

Big improvement this year & can improve further, but if we could get Polak for him + a 2nd round pick, I'd jump at it.

keep this player
we have a made a big investment in him
Just because you have invested a lot in to a player is no reason to keep him. The hallmark of a good coach/club is to know when to cut your losses. If there has been improvement - keep him. If not - delist him. Do we invest another 2 years into Watt & then delist him????? What's the point?

Just Watt we need another footy kicked at the Watt Nest to stir up the bees. :) Nice work Snake :)

Delist him now, get nothing for him, that would be the dumbest thing the club has ever done.

If Hay, Rawlings, Perry, Brown are in better form then Watt will play in the 2nd's, if not all the Watt Kickers will rejoice at the fact they can still bag him to death. They now have some names to push up.

Let me tell you beer-belly sheer-croppers one thing - assuming Watt has been paid an average of $150k/yr in his time at Nth Melb, that equates to $1.2mil. Now if over this time, the NMFC had invested this money into a managed fund using Australian shares, it would now be worth at least $2.8mil & probably more!!!! Wouldn't that solve some problems????????

Well why don't we sit out of footy for a year and invest the whole salary cap then, that we secure our future!!
What about paying the players though? They ain't gonna play for free. I would play for free though but I'd need some warning just to get my base fitness up. I would probably have to consider climbing Mt Everest again as a form of altitude training, particularly if we are going to play some home games in Mexico.
