Surely we can just replace him with another tall bloke who isn't going to make it to balance the list?

Surprised at how many think this guy had potential he could barely get match fit for AFL, same with Francis

Hindsight on my side, but just seems such a waste of a pick/time.

We picked him knowing he was raw and wasn’t going to play for a while - at one stage, he was arguably our most in form VFL player during the year.

Just seems a waste of development to cut him now. No real point drafting him in the first place

100%.

Josh Eyre must feel like he’s walked free without a scratch from a fatal accident. Pleased to be alive but a strong dose of “what just happened?”

Not really.

If Brand had come on he would have been a BZT type defender.

Eyre has the athletic profile to be awhole lot more.

Eyre was worth persisting with. BZT coming on like he did spelled the end for Brand.

He was a free swing from a later selection, probably did enough to be worth another year on the list but with potentially #4 and #22 and both Davey's and the possibility of Munkara sliding through, was the most expendable young KPP and we needed a list spot.

Had we a more experienced playing group Heppell might have been pushed out, but our complete lack of experienced players means he stays.

Should have been the end of Stewart. Injury prone, limited upside, a year or two away from retirement in a team that won’t be close to contending. Plus Weideman ends the need for the swing man.
