Certainly its his to take at the moment. Hopefully with consistent games and remaining injury free can see him deliver on his talent.

No better example to follow than Taz in that regard.
Daw has played 25 games in his 1st 7 years. Taz had only 39 himself in his 1st 7.

Both big boys with great to freakish athleticism. Hopefully Daw rips the comp apart this year along with Wood.

Hmmm, Maj's thread hasn't been bumped in a while, I wonder what the new posts are about?

Majak Daw has undergone arthroscopic surgery this afternoon after injuring his right knee at training on Monday.

The 25-year-old was completing straight-line running when he reported some discomfort to medical staff.

“There was no warning of any issues prior to Monday so this was an unexpected and unfortunate setback,” GM Football Cameron Joyce said.

“We discovered a tear in his meniscus so he was immediately referred to a specialist.”

After a review, Daw was admitted to hospital to have his meniscus repaired.

“It’s too difficult to put a timeframe on his return to full fitness at this stage, but we are confident he’ll be available in the opening rounds of the season,” Joyce added.

“We’ll know the extent of damage and amount of recovery time required after the surgery has been performed. At that point we will provide a further update to our members.”

Afl.com.au reporting he's out for 2 months.

Hopefully he'll be back soonish, but if football clubs are always optimistic with their assessment, and we're saying "opening rounds", then with a dash of pessimism I'd say round 5 which is mid-April which is more like 3 months.

Ah well, wouldn't complain if that sees McKay or Preuss or both debut in the meantime.
