These are the sorts of reasons he found himself on the outer. The team performs better when he doesn't play. Coaches don't just a-hole guys from the team who look like superstars to casual observers because they have a personal grudge against them. Cumberland wasn't doing what the team required, so he was correctly demoted.

He either fails and gets delisted or he thrives and earns a new contract

He has all the tools, just needs the mental side to crack

we have played MUCH WORSE PLAYERS for more. we all know he can play (most of us anyway) .

Make or break this year. 5 game string and we know where we are.

As we should with all our players, he's not there yet but who knows what he might become if the penny drops, very few get a chance at playing in the AFL I hope he shows us he has what it takes but no charity games.

What is this penny dropping stuff. He puts his all into his games, shows his emotions a bit much for some,.. charity games? There have been plenty of charity games given to all sorts of players in the last year or so, why single out Cumberland.

when Cumberland plays well we win 95%
when Cumberland plays very well we win 100%
let's give the kid another crack at it we know he's got ability and maybe he has tidied up some deficiencies

this year is all about experimentation and sorting the wheat from the chaff.

You’re counting the round 11 loss to the Swans when Cumberland was an unused sub.



Counting his full games only we had a 57% win rate.

Without him playing a full game we had a 56% win rate.

Average losing margin when Cumberland played a full game was 3 points.

Average losing margin without Cumberland was 15 points.

Agree as JGTI , Kmac and a few others would have an inferior strike rate this year based on such a pathetic sample size he chose. Not that you blame individuals in the end for the total loss anyway. Basically blaming NIWL for our increased % losses when he played was an indictment to our forum. The quality of posting drops off when the team drops off, but that post I’ve never read such a total misrepresentation of stats from a poster to reduce a player to nothing so he can feel proud of himself and sleep better. As you say he should be ashamed of himself .

Edit : He couldn’t even do the correct mathematics so he misrepresented his argument. This poster should never be taken seriously as he’s constantly misleading people with his statistical analyses.

Yze is backing Banks, Brown, MRJ, Dow, Mansell Campbell. Le Fau's been good.

I rate Combo but the writings on the wall with MRJ and Mansell hung onto their spot. Add in Campbell & Yze wanting Bolton up fwd. Add in LeFau, Dusty and Sonsie and the mids rotating up there.
Green got a preseason game ahead of him.

Unless he gave his pay back, he played, we lost and he lives with that on his record.

Cumbo clearly brought his statistical win rate killing ability into the 23 in that Swans game and spread it over the team in warm-ups, breaks etc. It is even worse for him if he is able to dampen our winning chances merely by being present at the game.

Crafting particular stats saying we lose more when he plays when the numbers then are proven to be both inaccurate and unreliable, and in the absence of any context of other relevant circumstances, aaaaaalllllllll just to pot one of our players is pretty fiendish.

Especially a youngish player when he hasn't played a Senior game in so long. Like I get the 'drop player x back to the seconds because of this and that' to an extent but he isnt even playing in the firsts at the moment.

The poster appears to have it in for him for some reason.

Not aimed at you specifically, bur if Hardwick “singled out” Ralphsmith, Young or any of our whipping boys like he apparently did Cumbo, then that player lost confidence you would be all calling them mentally weak

His only good footy came playing a free wheeling role when Dusty was out with the kidney issue.

Outside that when he's been asked to play to instruction he's been poor.
